[STORY] SADE’S HEART TALE (Episode 13)

Episode 13.

AACF7CFunke had said in three days time baba will be coming.
In truth, I know I got myself into whatever trouble that was loading but I initially did not see it as trouble.

I was still hoping that something good will come out of it. I try to focus on the positive side of the whole thing.
In my heart, I believe that baba coming to my house to do cleansing will enable me conceive.

Maybe truly the problem is within and whatever causing me delay in child bearing has been following me and has settled in my present home.
Baba must have seen it and decided to come take it out.
I was ready to do anything to get a child and that was my biggest mistake.

I was the one that asked Funke to go ahead and give baba my house address.
She made me understand that baba only wants what’s good for me and can’t hurt me.
I believed her, it was another assurance that bought me over..
I began to think of a way to present it to Ayomide.
Since it has been agreed on that the baba was coming in two days time, I have to tell Ayo on time so that he won’t be taken unaware and may angrily send him out thereby incurring more troubles for himself.
I think deeply of a way to present the case and finally come to conclusion.

I went to tell him calmly and respectively.
I let him know that somebody introduce a traditional man who helps women conceive and he does it all traditionally.
I let Ayomide know that the man wants to come over and pray in our compound, in his traditional ways.
I told him that the baba said whatever that was holding me back from conceiving maybe in this compound.

I made sure I presented it well and did not make him see reasons to doubt.

He was indecisive at first and wanted to turn it all down but I kept asking pleading.
I told him that is nothing to worry about and before he knows it the baba is out.

I kept pushing until Ayomide agreed. He said he won’t be part of whatever the man will do.
He only agreed to it because he always wants to see me happy and I thanked him for that.
He mentioned he will prefer the man to stay outside and do whatever he has to do, not coming into the main house.
I told him that’s not a problem I will let the baba know.

The baba called one day that he will be coming over the next weekend, that I should get some stuff and keep down in preparation for the cleansing.

He included two bottles of dry gin, allegator pepper, a black stone and few other items which I went to the market with the list to buy. I made sure I follow the list and purchase every listed items just as baba wanted it.

Since my husband told me that he does not want baba inside the house I decided to call and ask him where he will be staying for the cleansing.
Baba said he will stay in a secluded room in our house. One that we don’t use often.
I couldn’t tell him what my husband said, instead I told my husband what baba said.
He was not happy the way it was all going for the fact that baba wanted to use one of our rooms for his work.

He didn’t not want to see the baba, coming into his holy home, according to Ayomide is not a good idea. He said baba should use one of the room outside the main house. We plan to use the place as store to pack things.
Ayo said Baba should use the place.

Ayo said he can perceive trouble from this baba, he wish I can end it the way I started it.
I didn’t not allow him to finish when I told him that why he was thinking that way is because he already has a negative mind towards the baba.
I told him I was only doing all of this for us and the baba meant well for us.

I told him that baba will use the spare room that we hardly use just as he wanted.
He did not say anything.

The weekend that he said he will be coming was on a Saturday.
I waited for him all day but he never showed up.
Ayomid decided to do one of his night Virgil prayers. Where he usually sings, praise and pray until 12pm.
He started by 9pm right there in our sitting room.

I waited for baba, try calling but he wasn’t responding.
When Ayomide started singing praises, I joined him and we continued praising God together but my heart was divided as I kept wondering why baba didn’t show up again.
The following day, after church service, I was already trying to agree that baba was not coming again.
As night approached, I made up my mind that baba won’t come again, maybe is a good thing, it could be God’s will.
Ayomide maybe right when he said he foresee trouble from the baba.
Him not coming could be God trying to save us from trouble.
But what if Ayomide was saying all of that because he does not believe in things like that and the baba actually meant well like Funke assured me.

What will I do with the whole items that baba listed out for me to buy. I will have to throw it all away.
I spent almost fifty thousand for those things, throwing about fifty thousand away is painful but maybe is for the best

I kept thinking about it until night came.
Ayomide was reading his Bible in the parlour as he was preparing to go to bed because he will be going to work the next day.
I was watching television in the living room while Ayo was with his Bible.

He was just about going to bed around 11pm when we hard a heavy knock.
I startled and rushed to the door before Ayomide will do.
I asked who was that and it was the baba.

Why is baba coming by this time, is very late. People have gone to bed by that time and my husband and I would have been in bed but Ayo usually watch a 10 o’clock Christian program every Sunday, one of his favorite pastors usually host the show and he likes listening to the man of God. It last for thirty minutes and I sometimes watch with him.
I was worried seeing baba in such an odd hour.
Ayomide greeted the baba casually while sitting beside his Bible as the baba tries to enter but stepped back his feet immediately and did not proceed inside the house.

Baba began to shake as he tried to step his feet inside.
He began to chant different things and singing strange songs.

He later went still, became very quiet.
“This your house is not safe for me. There’s too much prayers and your husband is…”
He paused then breathed deeply and asked me to show him where he will stay for the sacrifice
I asked him is it sacrifice or cleansing, he replied “both”

I took baba to the private room that he will be using to do the cleansing.
I did not pass through the living room where Ayomide was sitting.
I took him through the back door, I also brought the items I bought to him.

Ayomide was checking television stations when I came back to join him.

I told him that the baba was in the secluded room at the back house doing his stuffs and I have given him all the items I bought.

Ayomide nodded and kept changing the television station.

I later saw a flash through the window, it was a shadow of baba holding a content and doing some incarnation, suddenly the shadow disappeared.
He probably blew in something because an awful smell filled the house.

I looked again at the window outside area as I moved closer but I can no longer see anything. I closed the curtains before coming back to sit down.

I looked at Ayomide but he was not seeing what I was seeing.
His eyes was closing and opening.
I called and tapped him severally but he was not responding.
All of a sudden he slumped.
from tapping I began to shake him but Ayomide was gone.
