Messi Is Powerless, INJURY: How Far Will Argentina Go In World Cup 2022?
Yes, Argentina FC can go as far as lifting the 2022 World Cup!
The simple but complicated mistake football critics all over the world keeps making is not reading in-between lines. To this, they go as far as criticizing Lionel Messi‘s performance and tagging him as “FINISHED“. But is that true? Definitely not!
The untold truth so far about the decrease in performance is embedded in many things, which of course, “Preparing For Upcoming World Cup” and “The Role/Position He Plays At PSG” tops the chart.
Before we dive into the former, let’s quickly sketch through the latter –”Messi‘s Role At PSG.”
If you are a good Football Lover (an ‘understanding football’ fan, per se), you would decode that Messi with the inclusion of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr, is more like adding extra maggies to an already almost spiced food. Yes, PSG was almost complete without Messi.
Of course, Messi to PSG wouldn’t have even happened in the first if not for the whole FC Barcelona brouhaha.
To coherent Messi to the PSG team, Galtier had to send Di Maria to Juventus in order to make space. Don’t get me wrong, Di Maria‘s departure is actually to create space and reduce the stress of getting to pick who plays on the field and who sits on the bench. FFS, you can’t have Leo Messi in your team and sit him on the bench -it’ll go a long way to show how unqualified you’re not for the job, because; Lionel Messi in your team is a CHEAT against your opponent, most especially when he’s fully fit for the game.
Leo Messi is a player who aside from defending and goalkeeping has upped his game over the time to be able to function in any role he finds himself in on the field. One minute, he [Messi] is crossing the ball for you to score the goal, the next, he’s in the front scoring the goals himself. Such a blessing to FOOTBALL–a genius.
After Di Maria‘s departure, the coach was then able to set the trio of Messi-Neymar-Mbappe -a project that was supposed to be a threat to opponents. But somehow, sometimes, this combination doesn’t tend to rhyme with the expectations of many.
As much as football lovers over the world wished to have a thing close to the Messi-Suarez-Neymar (MSN) of the good old days in FC Barcelona from the MNM [Messi-Neymar-Suarez] at PSG, it seems not to be happening quite often. This because, there seems to be a more mutual understanding between MNM than MSN. Maybe Messi and Neymar might cooperate, but Mbappe doesn’t seem to be in on it to the agreement fully as he’s still very desperate to be ahead of everything.
Critics all over the world have concluded Mbappe to be a self-player than a team player. Mbappe would always want to be the one dropping the ball at the back of the net than sharing it with another player in his team. Again, don’t get me wrong, Just quoting what we’ve seen severally from the young chap.
So this, somehow, aside the fact that Leo Messi understood he is a bit getting old and shouldn’t be making some runs like he usually do when he was younger, and the fact that he doesn’t want to be seen dragging goals with Mbappe, it reduced his goal collection. And, PSG players before now (for whatever reason/s best known to them) were filled players that doesn’t wanna pass to Messi. We saw Hakimi did it to Messi at the beginning of the 2022/23 season.
Again, unlike Messi at Barcelona whom was the everything at the front, at PSG he wasn’t the favourite to kick the ball to the back of the net, Mbappe is.
While that’s that, let’s see it from the other angle; “Leo Messi Is Reserving His Energy For The 2022/23 World Cup.”
Perhaps, the 2022 World Cup might be the last World Cup for Lionel Andreas Messi, perhaps not. At the end of the 2021 Copa America, Messi in an interview revealed that “After the World Cup, A lot Might Change” -as well, as the recent interview where he disclosed this would be his final World Cup, although it was countered by his Argentina team-mates who said the would protest for him. This could mean several things, and some of them are;
- He would finally retire from International Duties.
- Retire from Football.
- Return to FC Barcelona after his 2-year contract ends with Paris Saint German (PSG).
The most possible out of them is “He might finally retire from International Duties.”
For Messi to retire from the Argentina National Football Team, that means his last dance must be about giving his all-everything!
And by “everything“, it means giving them World Cup after delivering the Copa America trophy. So how far has Messi been preparing for the upcoming tournament? Certainly well!
HOW CAN LIONEL MESSI WIN THE WORLD CUP WITH ARGENTINA?
Yes, Messi can win the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, and here’s how he seems prepared so far.
-
- He took a break from overstressing himself at PSG.
- Avoids injury at every possible level and doesn’t wanna take any chances.
- He’s simply LEO MESSI –the magic maker!
What do you think? Will Leo Messi’s Argentina lift the 2022 World Cup at Qatar on December 18th?
