Ukraine forbids officials from using Telegram, Citing security concerns

Due to “threats” to national security on the app developed by Pavel Durov, a Russian-born man, Ukraine on Friday banned its government, military, and security personnel from using Telegram.

Declaring it a “matter of national security,” the National Security and Defence Council stated in a Facebook statement that it had “decided to restrict the use of Telegram in government agencies, military formations, and critical infrastructure facilities.”
