Finally! Here I am in Kenya, it was really worth it traveling thousands of miles all the way from Europe to Africa, I’m sure glad to have accepted Veronica’s offer to go in her place, Finally I’m far away from my grumpy old man and my b-tch of a sister. I can now finally absorb and swim in the river of Kenyan culture.

After I came out from the airport, There was a man waiting for me in front of the airport with a card board in his hand with my name on it, I waved at him and he led me to the car which was a nice GMT car.

The man put my luggage inside the boot and then opened the car for me and I went in sitting comfortably, after that we drove off straight into the city the populace of Kenya.
I had a fun time staring at the window, I loved the lifestyle of the Kenyan people and their dressing was totally rad and cool, I also set my eyes on some historical sites in Kenyan.

Minutes later, we arrived at the institution that I am supposed to be lecturing, it turns out that there was an exclusive staff quarters for Foreign lectures like me, after the car was parked, one of the campus guides took my luggage and took in to my quarters.

In that moment, an older man approached me and exchanged pleasantries with me. He was in his native attire but it was fashioned modernly, as I took a good look at him, I estimated he was in his mid fifties or so. His English wasn’t that fluent due to his strong Kenyan accent but it was understandable.

Omondi ➡ Evening Prof. Lovette, Welcome to the University of Nairobi… My name is Omondi Isaac but you can call me Prof. Omondi.

Lisa ➡ Thank you.. You can call me Lisa by the way.

Omondi ➡ Alright Prof. Lisa.. I hope your flight wasn’t too exhausting?

Lisa ➡ It was fun actually but right now I’d like to rest my feet.

Omondi ➡ Don’t worry.. Our staff quarters is the best among all institutions. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay here.

Lisa ➡ I’m looking forward to it.

Omondi ➡ Very well then… Let’s get going.. Let me take you to your quarters.

Lisa ➡ Yes but before that.. Can you show me around if you don’t mind?

Omondi ➡ Sure.. Follow me.

Omondi took his time and showed me all around the campus premises, we couldn’t walk around the campus cause the place was quite big, so we entered a small mini car and drove around the campus, The departments weren’t bad and their security system was also efficient, there were cameras and of course guards who kept watch 24/7.
After our little drive, Omondi and I stopped at the History department, where I would be lecturing, as we walked within the halls, Omondi showed me the theater halls, and every angle of the department, it wasn’t that bad and I have to say lecturing here wouldn’t be so bad.

After our little tour, Omondi escorted me back to the staff quarters, as soon as we reached my quarters, We bade each other good night and separated.
My lodging wasn’t bad at all, it was simple and quaint, I walked around the place taking a good look at it.. My luggage were well arranged and my bedroom was neat, There was electricity 💡 and the atmosphere was cool thanks to the air conditioner.
I decided in that moment I was going to take a bath, I slowly removed my clothes and took my towel heading straight to the bathroom, Inside it, there was a nice tub and a shower 🚿 which has both heat and cool temperature, I soon climbed into the tub and turned on the shower.

Andrew ➡ No they’re savages! African beasts just like the ones they’re blending with.. If not for our arrival into their continent, they wouldn’t have been civilized. They would have still be wearing animals skins and leaves on their stinking bodies… Our ancestors saved and changed their lives for the better.

Lisa ➡ No Father.. Our ancestors exploited and corrupted them.. They didn’t civilize the Africans just because they wanted to, they did it for their own benefit.. Don’t forget the slavery our ancestors condemned them to.. That’s what I call savagery and heartlessness, Our ancestors were the savages not the African and they didn’t need to a civilized, their way of life is beautiful in its own way.

Lisa ➡ Father, not all Africans are like that.

Andrew ➡ What ever.. Just make sure you stay away from them.
