[STORY] DEADLY DESIRE (Episode 37)
Episode 37.
Iya Folake too was worried about Nosa’s condition. Neighbours has advised her to send Itohan and her mad husband packing.
“What connection do you have with a mad man? Can’t he be sent to a psychiatric hospital?” They told her.
How was she to tell her neighbours that Nosa’s case was beyond medicine. She had since learned to ignore them. Iya made up her mind to stand by Itohan.
“This is her trying period. I must stand firmly by her” She told herself.
It has been a custom to check on Itohan. She listens to her lamentation and then encourage her with God’s word. Iya stood up, adjusted her clothes, then left to Itohan’s house. She met Itohan feeding her child. Iya took her seat and asked of her well being.
“I am happy as you no open shop today” Itohan said.” Atleast you go rest today ”
Iya smiled.
“I want to rest jare. Folake will go later”
While Itohan was laughing, Iya’s eyes caught the flyer on the table. She picked it up and read the content.
“Who gave you this?”
“Na that woman preacher wey dey sell Ogi. She give me since last week oo”
“Ehen”
“I no go because her church too far from here”
“Okay!”
Iya dropped the flyer on the table and they began discussing other things. Itohan noticed that while she was feeding the baby, he was sleeping. She stood up and placed the baby gently on the bed. Just then, Iya noticed that a man was standing close to the table. The man, pointing at the flyer told her:
“Tell her to attend the programme.”
Iya blinked her eyes, surprised she just had an open vision. Itohan was still trying to make the baby comfortable on the bed.
“Iya Efosa, try and attend this programme please”
Itohan smiled.
“Aah! I tell you say the place far Iya”
“The programme ends today oo. I want you to go. Infact, I and Taiye will go with you. He will drive us there. Don’t worry about distance”
“But I no plan for this na”
“It doesn’t matter. My dear, you don’t know when and where deliverance will come” She said.
“I don hear. I go tell Efosa”
“We will go early”
Overwhelmed by Iya’s show of concern, Itohan went to her and knelt before her.
“Iya thank you. God just plant you to push me do the right thing”
“All thanks to God”
She stood up and embraced the old woman. Iya later left after staying for a while.

Eghosa left home very early to Ogun state with the piece of paper in his wallet. When God speaks, he doesn’t doubt him. After he got that revelation, he told the maid and security man to monitor Nicole, for he was travelling. He remembered what the security man told him.
“Eghosa, if madam family no fit take care of her, leave her alone. They don’t know how many businesses she has. This is the right time to make money. Drop her in the hospital, sell this house and take over her business. Her family don’t care”
Eghosa shocked by the security man’s outburst, shook his head sadly.
“You are showing your true colour Obiora. I am not desperate. I will not defraud another. God forbid”
That was how he entered the car and set out for Ogun state. He has been on the road for hours. He parked his car beside a shop and began to ask questions. Someone directed him. Eghosa entered the car and drove off as directed. He parked his car again, in front of a compound.
Stepping out of the car, he stood face to face with THE BREAD OF LIFE CHURCH. The church was just the way he saw it in the revelation. Overwhelmed that God is so loving and merciful, he began to cry but soon wipes the tears that dropped from his eyes. After locking the car door, he entered the church. There was a programme going on. The atmosphere in the church was great. No devil could have survived the power in the church.
Eghosa got a seat at the back, for so great was the crowd that came to experience the raw power of God. At a time, he climbed the chair just to see the woman of God leading the prayer. It was a hot prayer session.
“I can see chains breaking and falling. The power of God is moving” The woman said “Wherever you are today, the mercy of God is locating you. Be loosed from that bondage. Be set free from that long illness, that affliction…”
Eghosa closed his eyes like others and prayed.
“I can see the hand of God touching you. Yes!, He is healing you”
Alot of people began to scream. Some rolled on the ground and deliverance began to take place.
“You will not return home with that burden. Your womb is healed, that marriage is set free. That fibroid is melting. That eyes begin to see, that paralytic hands and legs begin to receive strength”
For the first time in his life, he saw large number of people running out with clutches, wheelchairs. So many healings and deliverance taking place. When people started giving their testimonies, Eghosa tapped the man beside him.
“Please who is that woman that led the prayer session?”
“Aah!, She and her husband own the church”
“Ehen! God is using them mightily. They are great tools in the mighty hands of God. They are no ordinary people because of the power they carry. Anyone who carries the power of God is not ordinary. These ones are not afraid of the devil”
“Hmmm”
“You entered the church late, if not you would have seen her husband spitting fire. These ones are sharpened. They are battle axe of the Lord. They have sacrifice their knees on the altar of prayers and
we see results.
Eghosa got to know it was a week programme and three days had gone. Thanking the man, he made up his mind to return to Lagos that same day. Though he was tired, but he didn’t mind. He would return, rest a day, then return to the church with Nicole. He picked his bible and left without waiting for the church to close.
———————————–
As soon as Eghosa left that morning, Obiora, the security man dressed too and left without telling the maid anything. He went straight to his medicine man. Obiora hiding under the umbrella of a security man is worst than the devil himself. He had committed lots of havoc and atrocities. He used to be a driver, who works day and night to put food on the table. Things became too tough and his friend introduced him to the business of selling humans.
“You will make a lot of money. Easy business” He was told.
“Try it and you will not want to stop because of the money”
Initially, he would not hear such a thing, but when the bus was collected from him, he knew poverty and tasted it. It was Obiora who went to his friend.
“I am interested in that business you told me”
“What business?” His friend asked feigning ignorance.
“Aaah! The one you told me now. Selling of humans”
“Ooh! I remember. I am no longer into it”
“Aah! Why na?. I am interested now na”
His friend looked at him and smiled
“Alright!”
Obiora told him he was interested but no longer has a bus to carry passengers.
“I will arrange it”
Obiora was taken to a shrine where he took an oath never to implicate others when caught. Then, he was introduced to the people who buy humans.
“If you don’t have mind. I mean strong heart, you won’t be able to do this”
The first time, he sold about 8 people, he could not sleep, for the faces of the victims loomed over him. He ran back to the shrine, where he was given more charms. Obiora became used to it. For him, selling human beings is the same as selling edible items. Each time he drives into the fenced compound with his victims, he meets rich men and women bargaining with their leaders. Some of these buyers would select their victims and then pay extra fee for them to be killed. Occultic men, fake pastors, ritualist usually patronize them. Getting victims was never a problem. He and his friend were not the only ones in the business. There are a lot of drivers too and they were all making money.
With all the money Obiora was making, he could not do anything meaningful with it. He would carry women and spend money endlessly. Then one day, the police raided and uncovered the compound where humans were sold. The leader and some of the drivers including his friend were arrested. Luckily for him, he was not indicted.
That was three years ago. He dropped the bus and hid himself for months before he got a job as a security man. He has tasted the life of luxury and by all means wanted to return to it.
Severally, he had returned to the shrine, but each time was asked to come with a human head.
“I don’t want to spill blood”
“Then you are not ready”
He had wanted to use a little girl in his compound for the ritual, but the mother of the child was guiding her daughter day and night and it was difficult for him to make any move. He had even given the little girl sweet and money, but the mother of the child had warned him seriously. Since then, he refused to look at the child again.
“If you can have sex with a mad woman, then you are good to go” The man told him.
Surprised by what the native doctor said, he laughed.
“My boss is mad oo”
“All you need to do is sleep with her and with the handkerchief I will give you, wipe her forehead with it very well”
Obiora began to think fast.
“But how can I subdued a mad woman. For great is her strength”
“My charm will do it”
Obiora smiled. He quickly wiped the sweat that broke from his forehead.
“I will wait for the opportunity”
The opportunity came when Eghosa travelled. He rushed to the shrine and was told how to go about it.
“Make sure you are not caught” He was warned
“I can’t be caught oo. I must be wealthy. I want to become the richest man in the world” He laughed.
“As soon as you do what I told you , return quickly with the handkerchief. As long as she remains mad, your wealth is sure. Go now”
Obiora returned and throughout the day, he was so cheerful. He waited patiently for night to come, so that he can carry out his atrocity.
