Episode 10.

Uyi just finished having sex with Nicole. He sat beside her on the bed. They were both naked. They have been frequently different hotels just to satisfy their sexual urge.

Nicole 39, felt no man was coming for her again. She dated younger men in the past, but were always intimidated by her wealth.

From the beginning she had made it clear to Uyi that nothing is between them. It’s only the sex that connects them.

Uyi is a chronic womanizer. Woman of every shape and size attracts him. He doesn’t have a choice. When he first came in contact with Nicole, he was excited. He was the one who told her he lived close to Nosa. He was the one feeding her information about Nosa.

She started longing for him. Uyi was always visiting and Nicole would give him money. It was one of those visits that the maid requested Uyi should come upstairs. He entered her room and met Nicole naked. He closed the door gently and she ordered him to come.

“We are adults and mature. I need you and I will pay you handsomely”

Uyi didn’t hesitate, he climbed the bed and had sex with her. He slept at her place. Whenever she was in the mood, she would call him.

Nicole sat up and smiled at Uyi.

“How far have you gone with Nosa? I have waited for close to a year now waiting for him to make advances at me but nothing is happening” she complained.

“Why are you spending so much on him then. He told me how much you pay him. You also got a car for him. Since I have been here, I have not benefited as Nosa”

“When I get home I will send you more money”

They had another round of sex before they left the hotel. Deep in her heart, she decided to take the bull by the horns. She had been chatting Nosa on a platonic level but he will have to take a step further.

Nosa had already climbed the bed when his phone beeped. He stretched his hand and took the phone from the table, beside the bed. It was a message from Nicole requesting him to check his Whatsapp. Quickly, he opened his Whatsapp and checked his message. He saw the content and his heart thud.

Nosa sat up and looked at his sleeping wife. His attention returned to his phone.

“What the hell?” He whispered.

Quietly he tip toed out of the bedroom to the sitting room. He sat quietly and comfortably and then he began to look at the pictures Nicole sent him. Nude pictures of herself. She posed in different styles. Nosa looked at some of the pictures with open mouth. Then he dropped the phone on the chair went to the kitchen to get some chilled beer. As he went through the pictures, he started having sexual urge. He noticed he had erection but quickly placed the cushion pillow on his lap.

He closed his eyes and began to imagine himself having sexual exploit with Nicole. While in that position, his phone rang. It was Nicole, he picked it immediately.

“I just wanted to make sure you are thinking of me tonight” She told him “You mean a lot to me Nosa. I never stopped thinking about you”

Nicole dropped her phone on the bed and began to laugh gently. She had spent money on Nosa. She had waited for him enough to take the initiative but either he was sexually blind or pretending. All her effort in that relationship went into waste because of Itohan who decided to steal from her. Yes, Itohan stole her man. Now that Nosa was working for her, it is her opportunity to make him hers. Itohan was going to cry the way she cried.

She picked the phone again and then sent love messages to him.

“Itohan cannot love you the way I do” she whispered. “If he is unwilling to come to me, then I will go to him”

She undressed and lay naked on the bed. She knew Nosa was going to be attentive to her. She has passed her message to him and was going to wait for his response. His response is going to determine her next steps. Nicole smiled again and tried to go to sleep.

Itohan woke up suddenly, she had a dream. It was not a pleasant dream. She looked at the wall clock. The time was just past 2am and her husband was not on the bed either. She lay on the bed hoping Nosa would come out from the toilet, so she would tell him her dream. Worried, she left the bed to the toilet but he was not there. She opened the door and stepped into the sitting room. Nosa was there sleeping on the chair. She frowned. This was the first time in 18 years Nosa would sleep outside the comfort of the bed.

Four empty cans of beer on the stool. Her heart began to race. Why would her husband leave the bed to the chair if there was no problem. Gently, she woke him up and helped him to the bedroom. She returned to the living room, picked his phone and placed it on the table beside the bed. Itohan went to the bed, but it was long before sleep could claim her again. By dawn, Nosa woke her up. He was already dressed. They exchanged pleasantries. Then he told her he was rushing out.

“You nor dey go work?” She asked sitting up.

“I will go. I want to briefly see Uyi. It’s urgent”

“Okay but e get wetin I wan tell you. The dream wey I get I no like am at all”

“Enh enh! Wetin be the dream”

Itohan heaved a sigh and smiled

“Sit down”

Nosa sat beside her on the bed.

“I dream sey as I enter room to come meet you, you come hide wetin dey your hand. You hide your two hands for your back. I ask you sey wetin you hold, you say nothing. So I push you, you fall and wetin you dey hide come be picture. But you come dey vex sey why I push you. I come tell you sey make you no vex. Before I know you come dey beat me. You no allow me see who dey the picture”

She sighed deeply and kept silent

“The dream don finish?” He asked

“Yes!”

“Na wetin you think sey the dream mean”

“I wan ask you question Nosa?”

“Go on!”

“E get wetin you wan tell me?”

“Nooo!”

“Nosa, I no be stranger, I be your wife. I don born two children for you. I no like as I see you for night. You leave bed go chair. If anything dey bother you, let me know. We go put our head together and solution go come out”

“Itohan! I no get problem for work ooh”

“E get wetin you dey hide from me?”

“Wetin I wan hide from you. Abeg, that na ordinary dream. No worry about me” He told her pecking her forehead

He stood up but Itohan wanted him to wait for breakfast.

“I wan see Uyi before I rush go work” He told her.

He helped Itohan up and kissed her. She tried to dodge his mouth.

“I never brush na”

“I like am like that” He said and kissed her softly.

He bade her goodbye and left the house. He entered his car but didn’t drive immediately.

“God help me. I love Itohan so much and I don’t want to hurt her. Help me not to betray her”

Nosa parked his car and crossed to the other side of the road. Uyi was standing in front of his shop giving instructions to his sales boys. He was surprised to see Nosa that early in his shop. He shook hands with him and welcomed him to his shop. He gave him a seat in his shop.

“There is fire on the mountain. Nicole is making advances at me and I don’t know how to handle it” He said.

“Is that supposed to be a problem?, If she is still interested in you, go for her. After all she has done so much for you. Look at you Nosa, you have changed. You are looking good. Nicole has changed your life. Let me tell you, she has been waiting for you. That lady is wealthy make her your second wife”

“Aaah, second wife ke?”

“Yes, second wife. Itohan will never know. Nicole has brought valuable things to the table? What valuable things has Itohan…”

“Don’t talk about Itohan like that. I forbid it”

“Alright! I am sorry”

Nosa kept quiet, nodded his head and tapped his feet incessantly.

“Relax Nosa. Get into her bed, eat her body and money. Keep your mouth shut. Even if Itohan eventually know, she will say and do nothing about it. Without Nicole’s money, you and Itohan are nothing. You will never be in the position you are. The house, car, food and clothes you are wearing are all Nicole’s money”

Nosa said nothing.

“There are lots of men with wives outside. Their first wife doesn’t know. Do you know whether I have another wife apart from Mitchell that you know?”

Nosa looked at him with raised eyebrows. Uyi laughed.

“Nicole is beautiful and wealthy”

“Itohan is beautiful too”

“I know, but look at the money Nicole is lavishing on you. Don’t pretend as if she doesn’t exist. Don’t keep her waiting Nosa. Nothing is wrong if you make her your second wife. If I have this kind of opportunity, I won’t need anybody’s advice”

Nosa stood up abruptly.

“Are you going already, are you going straight to work”

Uyi escorted him to his car and watch him drove out of his sight.

“Nosa doesn’t recognize opportunity when he sees it” He shook his head and smiled.
