Rivers Assembly selects and approves 4 commissioner nominees from Siminalayi Fubara

On Monday, the Rivers State House of Assembly screened and approved four Commissioner candidates that Governor Siminalayi Fubara had submitted to them.

Dr. Israel Ngbuelu, Evans Bipi, Otamiri Ngubo, and Benebo Anabraba are among the commissioner nominees, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

During plenary, Speaker Victor Oko-Jumbo said that the governor had sent a letter with four names for verification and screening.

Three of the applicants were previous members of the house who “served diligently during their tenure” as parliamentarians, according to House Leader Sokari Good-boy. As a result, he asked his colleagues to let the three of them bow and go.

The house, however, screened the fourth nominee before confirming all of them. The speaker later announced their confirmation and advised them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the development of the state.
