Total Episodes
The new season 6 of Black Mirror will come up with more episodes than the last season. The last season, that is Season 5, had 3 episodes. The new cast that we mentioned above will only appear in the first 3 episodes of the new season. So, it might be the case that more new faces may appear in further episodes.
The series has a history of casting top A-list stars. Season 1 had Daniel Kaluuya, Jodie Whittaker. For Season 2, the makers of the series have invited Jurassic World fame Bryce Dallas Howard and Game of Thrones Season 2 fame Jerome Flynn.
In Season 3, we saw Alex Lawther, Michael Kelly and Letitia Wright, while in the last season, the makers came up with Miley Cyrus. Hence, it is very likely that for Season 6 too the makers might follow the Old tradition and call some top actors to take on starring roles.
However, the producer, Annabel Jones and the creator and lead writer, Charlie Brooker both had left the Black Mirror’ original production company that is House of Tomorrow in early 2020. The company is a part of Endemol Shine.
With the financial support of Netflix, they tried to establish a new company named Broke and Bones in February 2020. Although the rights of Black Mirror remained in the hands of Endemol Shine, the production company came to a halt until the two sides reached a deal.
A release date is yet to come out but it looks likely to hit Netflix sometime in the tailend of 2022 or early 2023.
