Wande Coal, Sarz To Also Headline Gidi Fest 2019!

Last month, Gidi Fest announced that Patoranking, Niniola, Teni and more will be headlining the sixth edition of the annual music and arts festival. Now, they have upped the ante by adding a few more exciting acts to the lineup, including Wande Coal and Sarz.

For the past five years, Gidi Fest has contributed immensely to festival culture in Nigeria, satiating the high demand for live, affordable entertainment. The sixth edition of the beloved festival will be going down on April 20, featuring many of our favourite artists.

While the main stage will host the more mainstream acts, the New Generation stage, which Gidi Fest successfully introduced last year, is set to feature a bunch of really talented up-and-comers, with the most popular of the lot, Zlatan and LAX, headlining.

Speaking about this year’s festival, Gidi Fest co-founder, Chin Okeke said:

“2019 will see a return to our roots of promoting the future of African music, whilst many returning acts who have grown in leaps and bounds since the last time they graced the Gidi Fest stage.

Expect a beautifully curated experience with a big focus on the culture around the music.”

This year’s theme is Your Voice, Your Choice. To lend to the exciting theme, we’ll be hosting an interview booth at the festival, where we’ll be interviewing festival goers, so look out for us.
