U.S. Embassy celebrates Independence at PEFTI Film Institute [Photos]
On Thursday 28th June 2018, in line with a wide range of activities leading up to the 4th of July Independence Day Celebrations of United States of America, the U.S. Embassy held a Music Workshop at PEFTI Film Institute, Lagos.
During the well-attended event, Lucky Chops, a renowned U.S. Jazz Band, performed with PEFTI Band. Lucky Chops also held a counselling session with PEFTI National Diploma (ND) Music Technology Students, Professional Music Students, Music Studio Production Students, as well as ND Performing Arts and Film Students.
The Managing Director of PEFTI, Abiola Adenuga, had this to say: “Today has been an educative international celebration of music, creativity, and cross-cultural harmony. We are also excited at the new opportunities available to PEFTI Music Students, Alumni, and Program Attendees as we work hand-in-hand with Larry Sochas, U.S. Cultural Affairs Officer, on One Beat – the recently announced U.S. Cultural Music Exchange Program.”
PEFTI Film Institute, located at 5 Joy Avenue, Ajao Estate, off Airport Road, Lagos State, is a government-approved educational establishment, offering Accredited National Diplomas in Film-Production, Performing Arts and Music, as well as Professional training in Acting, Presentation, Still Photography, Cinematography, Directing, Choreography, Script-writing, Fashion Design, Styling, Costume & Makeup, Music, Bead-making and Digital Video Editing.
