Episode 04.
“Serpentines! The supreme Lord , gave us a mandate to achieve! The Mission at Nyanya Kugbo hills and the Zuba road crash was successful, the supreme one is happy that we achieved the target of two hundred souls In two operations, fifty more people died from the accident at Zuba when the trailer ran into a BRT bus , he was more delighted that a serpentine from our mini coven , little Miss Vera did amazingly well” …

Vera angrily interrupted the meeting that was holding at the school hall around 2 A.M hissed and warned Miss Imini.
“Don’t you ever call me little ! My name is Vera , My spirit name is Pandora do not call me little.”.

Miss Imini ignored her, and continued with the meeting.
” Tomorrow morning we’ll attack Abuja airport. An extra drum of blood will bring us promotion. Go back to bed tomorrow morning let as assembly at the Abuja airport around six A.M , we’re going to bring down the plane going to Lagos , Mrs Ifunanya is going with that plane, her prayers for the school, has stopped our operations in the school, and making recruitment of new members into the coven of the black serpent difficult.”

Vera flew back home in a form of a big humanoid looking bat, with red eyes, her spirit hovered around the house watching her brothers sleep in their double decker beds , she saw her mum and dad sleeping in their room , then Rinky , the housemaid and chef sleeping in their room . The bat got smaller and flew into her body. She woke up from sleep and went to the bathroom to urinate and returned back to bed and slept till morning.

Vera was up the next morning by five A.M her spirit left her body , she had locked her door from inside . She flew to the airport, it was already six , people at the airport could see the big black bats flying high up in the airport, I wasn’t unusual, because those big bats hovered around Abuja , late in the evening and early in the morning . But people didn’t pay close attention, because this bats were unusually big .

“Serpentines be ready , We’re attacking United Africa air bus, see Mrs Ifunanya boarding, twenty bats should go with Pandora to the south wait for the plane ,once it leaves the ground push it down .
Twenty be at the ground to pull the plane down , to pull below, nine Serpentine bats go into the engines ,and put this stone immediately the plane Leaves the ground. Remember the supreme one and the royal family are watching from high heaven , no mistakes would be permitted, your lives for any mistakes you would make, may the supreme lord be with you all.”

The plane left the ground , immediately Vera hit the windshield. The other bats began to hit the plane .
“May day ! May day! Group tower , the plane is being attacked by an unidentified flying objects, they look like bats , with humanoid features , their eyes are red like fire , we’ve gotten another hit!! Ground station give permission for landing “.
The ground station could see the plane struggling at about two thousand feet in the air. The pilot turned the aircraft back for landing. Vera pushed the face of the aircraft. A bat cut the communication cable , the pilot could no longer communicate with the ground station. He tried to land , Vera pushed the plane back to the sky, then she used her wings to cover the windshield, the pilots could no longer see through the windshield, Miss Imini was afar off watching them battle with the plane . On the second attempt to land the plane in the ten minutes battle , Vera and the other serpentine bats dragged the plane face down into the run way . The plane bursted into flame , two hundred and fifty people died in the crash . Emergency service at the airport couldn’t save anyone.

“Vera come and open the door, let’s go for money prayers!
Pandora heard her mum knocking at her door . She wanted to run back home , Miss Imini insisted she must join other witches and wizards to pack up the drums of blood and bags of meats . More serpentine bats came to help . Be disobeyed Miss Imini and appeared in her room and entered her body

“Baby what kind of sleep are you sleeping? I’ve been here knocking at your door for thirty minutes, you gave me a panic !!! I thought you’d died in there ! And how many times have I told you not to lock your door ?”
Mrs Susan was unhappy with her daughter.

“Good morning Daddy! Good morning mummy!
She wanted to seat on same sofa with kelvin he walked up to another sit at the furthest part of the sitting room, to stay away from Vera.
“Kevin I’ve told you to stop treating your sister like a vermin! If you continue this way , I’d cut your allowance “.

For over six months kelvin had cut all ties with his sister , after he had run into her ans some of friends flying at the back of the school compound after close of school, when they thought no one was coming . He and Jeremy had gone to urinate, because the lavatory was at the second floor , they didn’t want to climb up, Vera and her friends pretended not to see them , but Jeremy died that night, and Kelvin knew about it in his dream, when Vera came to warn him not to tell anyone or he would die like his friend too.

Kelvin had become introverted, he hardly joins his family at the dinning and whenever Vera comes he panics and run away . He was taken to see a therapist , a colleague of his mum, at the hospital, he couldn’t say anything, because Vera was right there in hospital , threatening to kill him if he said anything.
” Honey I think we should take what kelvin has been telling us about his sister seriously, we need to go see pastor Jude for deliverance.”

Mr Adie said to his wife .
“No ! No Adie! No way in God’s earth am allowing you take my children to go see any pastor ! Have you thought about the stigmatization they would have to go through? You surprised me ! If a computer scientist like yourself can be so superstitious like an illiterate in Bekwarra village then I don’t see the use of your education and exposure.”
She banged the door and left the room, Mr Adie went into the jacuzzi took his hot bath and left for work without touching his meals . He would come back late at night and leave early in the morning to avoid his wife. He now spent his time with friends at the bar.

At the Atlantic ocean were the Coven of the black serpent gathered with over ten thousand members , the supreme lord was over joyed by the exploits carried out by Pandora, he called her up to altar throne. The supreme lord was a forty years old white man from Toronto Canada, while the Coast mother was an extravagantly beautiful woman called Ada from Nigeria, who surrendered their human bodies to become immortal beings in the sea.

” Let us all rise up as we honour Pandora, our super witch, from Nigeria, in just one year she has brought , four hundred lives to the coven, she has led several attacks in Nigeria and West African and helped bring victory to West African sub covens , today I and the Queen mother wants to promote her to rank nine nine nine . And give her an adult spirit form . The supreme prince wants to make her his wife and princess…”

Miss Imini was pissed and exasperated. She cut the supreme lord
“Your lordship are we not working by the spirit rules of the serpent coven? That says all members must sacrifice a loved one, a blood relative,to show total loyalty to the coven before they attain the royal status and be promoted to senior cadre of the grand order ?

The supreme lord was foaming with anger , fire came out from his eyes and smoke from his ears and nostrils.

” Ivanka I’ll spare you today for your nonchalance! The next time you interrupt my speech, I’ll roast your soul in hell! You have been an old member of this coven, you’re on level nine nine nine, you know the supreme one is not merciful. Don’t let your jealousy make you join the unfortunate. Your hatred for Pandora should not make you lost your senses.
Pandora I give you one month to choose amongst your family who you will sacrifice or your head will go for it. I prefer your nosey brother Kelvin, but the choice is yours.

“coven Let us eat meat and be merry, drink blood .”
