Episode 06.

Nelson hugged her. “Awwn,” she said blushing

“Sis Clara we came to see you” the pastor announced “I heard everything that happened, is so glaring you wanted this divorce, you were only bittered because you met another woman with him, please let’s go through the process once and for all”

“Which process?” Clara asked

“The divorce process” Nelson replied her

“We heard you have a man friend in Lagos, go back to him and leave this family please,” Pastor Moses begged.

She stood up in anger pacing around, “so this baba’s charm is not working, when I thought have caught both of them” she muttered within herself. “I’m not leaving my husband for any harlot” she flared up

“Daddy I told you, hug her, admire her, calling her sweet names will not work, she’s a devil and she’s not even beautiful”

“You can say that again” Pastor Moses mocked

Clara began to weep, cursing Nelson and Pastor Moses

“I’m an anointed man of God so mind what you will say to me, release this man and let him go, you don’t mean well for him” Pastor Moses exclaimed

Keji came back and met the pastor and his husband, “what is going on here?” she asked after exchanging pleasantries with them.

“We are trying to talk to Clara if she can carry her problem and leave peacefully, but she’s proving stubborn”

“So what’s the way forward now,” She asked

Nelson whispered to her ears, after some minutes a bus came and they started packing their things, “We will leave here for you since you said you are not leaving”

“No need for this please I will leave and leave in peace” Clara stopped them and carried her bag instead, she walked away.
Nelson hugged Keji “The Devil is gone”

“But she’s still your wife, no legal backing yet” she frowned “I’m the one that suppose to leave not her”

“No you won’t, you need to hear the outcome of where I went to this morning, it was from there I branched to pastor’s place”

“How did it go,” keji asked curiously

“I’m now a Firefighter, as soon as I got to the station I met a man and told him I have interest in the Job, he welcomed me friendly, and ask if I have any certificate, thank God I went there with my CV. before I know it, I was given the Job, He said other training will follow as I resume. honey the salary is a huge one”

“Wow just like that, that’s good news. My husband is now a firefighter” she exclaimed cheerfully “Don’t know is going be easy like that” They escorted the pastor back to his house.

Clara booked a hotel not far from the village, she invited her friend Mercy. Mercy arrived late. “Sorry my friend that I came late, what happened”

“Mercy you need to see the way Nelson embarrassed me today” she explained everything going on to her “The charm Baba gave me, is not working”

“Don’t panic” she collected the phone and message the herbalist “check your phone he should have replied by now”

“Yes he has” she clicked on it nervously “Oh he said because is two persons that’s why it did not work as expected I should put the remaining powder in the food of the one I love, how will I do that now when I’m not there”

“This is terrible” Mercy inhaled.

“Yes, I know a girl very close to them, they call her Dara, she can do it, she cooks for them even, Mercy you will help me, they don’t know you so you will help me find the girl”

“That’s a good idea, just give me the description and every other thing I need to know”

“Thank you, my friend. Her house is just opposite Nelson’s own. Go there and ask for Dara, make sure you talk to her in private, give her some money, she will accept the offer I believe”

Mercy went there that same night, she knocked on their door

“Good evening ma,” Dara greeted

“How are you dear, are you Dara?”

“Yes ma”

“That’s good how is your mum too, can I greet her”

“No I’m staying with my grandma and she’s sleeping”.

“Perfect timing” she muttered within herself, She brought out the powder and a bail of money and handed it over to her.

“Wow, thank you ma” she was so excited, this powder, what’s it for?” She asked innocently

Mercy drew her closer whispering to her ears.
