[STORY] AYOMIDE (Episode 03)

Episode 03.

Sis Tolani didn’t waste anytime to give her response to bro. Kola. Immediately after Bible study on Tuesday, she waited outside the church for him to come out. Bro. Kola’s face lighted up when he saw sis Tolani. He greeted her, then proceeded to ask about her family and affairs. She responded with smiles on her face.
“I have been waiting outside for you so that I can give you my response” she said clutching her Bible as if something would happen to it if she doesn’t hold it tight.
“Hold on” he told her. “Let’s go somewhere and sit”
“There’s no need sir”
“There is need sis Tola. One should not stand to discuss a crucial matter. I know too that your response is positive. I know God has told you to accept me because I am his son” he said smiling. ” Let’s go back to the church so we can sit and plan our next line of action. We must not delay now. Pastor Ezekiel has to be informed”

“Will you listen to me bro. Kola. My father didn’t approve you for me. He has a better plan for me. I am sorry bro. Kola, I can’t accept the proposal. If I go ahead with my father’s approval and blessings, everything will end in disaster”

” You’re confused sis Tola”
“How and why will you say that? Listen bro Kola, God has spoken and I must listen to him or I will be ruined. Moreover, my father told me He has prepared Adenike for you”

“Adenike?”
“Yes Adenike!
“But I don’t know any Adenike”
” Bro Kola, I don’t doubt God when he speaks. I know Him and I recognise His voice any time. If my father has said Adenike is the woman He has prepared for you, then the Adenike will come”

Kola stood watching Tolani as she spoke. He was so confused and lost.
“Habakkuk 2:3 says, for the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Whoever this Adenike is, God will bring her to you”

Kola whose countenance was already sad and downcasted, looked at Tolani and nodded.
“Thank you” he mumbled and walked away sad.

In the months that followed, Bro. Kola forgot totally about marriage and focused on his ministry of evangelism and Intercessory. In the church, he would mobilize both the youths and adults to go out to preach the good news. So many souls were won to God’s kingdom. As an Intercessor, he stood in the gap for many families and Testimonies were pouring in. Pastor Ezekiel was happy because the church increased in size.

For most single sisters in the church, bro Kola was their choice. Why wasn’t he looking at them? some of the sisters kept asking and wondering. Unknowingly to them, bro Kola has his choice of the kind of woman he want for a wife. It’s either God give Him a woman who can blast in tongues, go on dry fasting with him, pray down fire, shake the kingdom of darkness and win souls for God or nothing. He has looked at the single sisters in the church, they’re beautiful but he has seen that only sister Tolani fits that position of a wife yet she rejected him on the ground that God didn’t approve. To worsen the whole thing, kola didn’t hear God when He spoke.

“Buy bread. Fresh bread” the voice kept saying
Bro. Kola stood outside his compound waiting for a bike. His car developed fault that morning. He needed to get to work that morning for a General Meeting at the office.
“Bread seller come here oo” an elderly woman helped the seller to drop her bread. She selected the size she wanted and bargained.
“Ma, the breading you’re holding is #400 not #250. If you want #250 bread, this is it.” The bread seller said pointing at a small sized bread.
“Give me the one of #300”. While the bread seller was busy selling the bread, bro Kola was carried away by their discussion.
“That is your wife”
Kola turned when he heard the voice. There was nobody standing close to him.
“Kola, that’s your wife” the voice said again with great authority.
