[STORY] AYOMIDE (Episode 02)

Episode 02.

Bro. Kola started praying about Sis. Tolani. He told God he has found his missing rib. He wants God to approve and bless his marriage with her. He also told God he was going to propose to her and he wants her to say the big YES so that he can be done with marriage and then face other plans. He thanked God in advance for answering his prayer.

Three weeks later, he met sis Tolani to express his feelings for her. She listened and told him she cannot give him any response outrightly.

“What do you mean?” he asked with disappointment written on his face. He was expecting her to accept his proposal without thinking twice.
“Are you not a child of God? She asked. ” Do you think I shouldn’t pray about it and hear from my father?
“Of course! Talk to God about it. I have already told Him about you Tola and I know he approves. You work for Him in his house and the Bible says a labourer deserves his wages. Listen my dear, I have fallen in love with you.
“Alright brother. Give me time to pray about this”
Alright! But please don’t delay.

Sis Tolani was already 27 years when bro. Kola proposed to her. She went home happy. “Now a brother has found her worth for marriage” she kept saying to herself. She stood before the mirror admiring herself. She had been into relationships but the brothers always wanted to taste the forbidden fruit. They wanted to taste what was between her legs. She had made a covenant of chastity and purity to God and there was no going back. She will give her body to the man God will give her as husband. Bro. Kola proposing to her was like God answering her prayers after so many disappointments.

Throughout the day, her countenance brightened. She kept smiling even though there was no reason to. In the night she went to bed without bothering to pray about bro. Kola’s proposal to her. She had a dream. She was sitting in her mother’s shop with two of her friends. She was so excited, telling them about bro. Kola’s proposal.

“You mean he proposed to you?”The first girl asked.
“Yes oo” she said giggling like a child.
” I am happy for you oo”
” Thank you. God will answer your prayers too” Tolani prayed.
“Amen” the girls chorused.
“Have you prayed about it Tolani?” the second girl asked
“What’s there to pray about? Kola told me he has told God about me and He approves”
“I still think you should pray about it. If God spoke to him about you, He can speak to you too. Our God is not a partial God”
“Alright, I will pray.
The girls stood up to leave when a man walked in. They greeted and left.
Tolani was excited to see Him.
“Tolani” the man called
“Yes father”
“Have I failed you before?”
“Ah father! No! Never!

“Everything you asked, I have given to you. I promised to give you a befitting gift and I won’t fail”
“Sir but you have give me the gift. Bro. Kola has proposed to me sir”
The man laughed and look at her
“Kola is not the gift my child. Yes he’s my son but he’s not the one I prepared for you. He is impatient. I have prepared Adenike for him. Adenike is his wife. For you my child, I will bless you beyond measure. Your barn will be filled.” “Look ahead Tolani, your husband is coming”
Tolani looked and saw a man coming from a distance towards her and she woke. She understood the meaning of the dream. She went on her knees, seeking for mercy for almost making a grave mistake.
