Realme GT Neo 7 will pack current top-performing SoC in AnTuTu’s ranking — Tipster
A well-known tipster, Smart Pikachu, claims that the Realme GT Neo 7 is set to launch earlier than expected. The Neo 6 is a low-cost flagship phone with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 that was introduced by the company in May of this year. According to the Weibo tipster, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version will be included in its successor.
This is the same SoC that has been dominating the AnTuTu flagship rankings for some time now. Nubia was the first to introduce smartphones featuring this overclocked variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the RedMagic 9S Pro+ has been at the top of AnTuTu’s recent monthly rankings.
However, the Realme GT Neo 7 is unlikely to top the upcoming AnTuTu rankings after it releases as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 are on the horizon. These two SoCs are said to deliver a massive performance jump. If that holds true, flagships with the next-gen SoC will have a noticeable leap in benchmarks.
Besides the SoC, Smart Pikachu shares that the GT Neo 7 will feature a 1.5K “gaming” straight screen. The tipster didn’t elaborate on the specs, but the mention of “gaming” could mean that the screen will have a 144 Hz refresh rate. It is also said to come with a large battery and 100W fast charging support (140W Anker 737 power bank curr. $109.99 on Amazon).
