President Buhari Returns To Abuja After AU Summit In Mauritania
President Muhammadu Buhari has finally returned to Abuja after his participation at the 31st Session of the AU Summit in Mauritania.
It was previously reported that President Buhari would on Saturday, June 30, leave Nigeria for Nouakchott, Mauritania, to participate at the 31st Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) taking place on Sunday, July 1 to Monday, July 2.
More than 40 African leaders gathered in Mauritania to discuss ways to fight corruption and extremism.
The African Union (AU) has called for action regarding the situation in South Sudan, where a recent ceasefire agreement between feuding parties collapsed soon after it was reached.
The AU is struggling to solve regional crises, including the conflict in South Sudan, Somalia and Libya.
