Okezie Ikpeazu set to complete his road project in 2018 in Aba
The hope of the residents in Port Harcourt, Aba to ply a smooth and good road this 2018 has been dashed, as the State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has said the road will be completed in 18 months.
It should be recalled that work started in Port Harcourt which is a major link road and a Tech hub in Aba on Nov 15th, 2017.
In a recent chat with newsmen, Gov Ikpeazu noted that, he has given the contractor of the road, (Setraco Construction Company) a sum of 2 billion for the completion of the road, but never stated when the road will be completed
During his 2018 new year message to Abians, Ikpeazu made it clear that Port Harcourt road will be completed in 2019, according to him, the road is designed to have 6 lanes with a dedicated BRT Lane for Bus Transit.
Ikpeazu said, “Work has commenced on the Port Harcourt Road, Aba. This road is designed to have 6 lanes with a dedicated BRT Lane for Bus Transit on the stretch of the road. The road will be completed in the next 18 Months (1yr and 6months).
