Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, ordered the recruitment of 700 more people in order to increase the state Security Network Agency’s (also known as Amotekun Corps) capabilities and manpower.
Brigadier General Alade Adedigba (retd.), the Corps Commander, revealed this in a statement to reporters on Saturday.
Adedigba said, “This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing security measures across the state and ensuring the safety of all residents.
“Interested applicants are encouraged to apply free of charge through the following link: ogunstateamotekun.com.ng. The application period will be open from 29th October to 18 November 2024.”
The Corps Commander said that following closely after the application phase is a comprehensive screening exercise scheduled to take place from 25th November to 11 December 2024, while the prospective applicants are urged to prepare adequately and adhere to the guidelines provided during this process.
He added, “This recruitment drive represents a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to bolster the capacity of the Amotekun Corps, enabling us to better serve and protect the citizens of Ogun State.
“We invite all eligible and interested individuals to take part in this important initiative and contribute to the collective security of our communities.”
