My Dream Disney Role Would Be Elsa In ‘Frozen’ — Anya Taylor-Joy
Anya Taylor-Joy has hinted that she will be at the front of the Elsa audition line should Disney begin development on a live-action Frozen.
The Queen’s Gambit and Furiosa: An actor from the Mad Max Saga has disclosed that playing the recognizable snow queen would be her ideal Disney or musical part.
Taylor-Joy stated in an interview with Vogue Hong Kong that she wished to shoot ice out of her hands and reveal her identity as Elsa to her siblings’ kids.
“I think Frozen is going to be great. Shooting ice cubes out of your hands can be a lot of fun. And, you’ll be the favorite at every kid’s birthday party. All my siblings have kids now, so I would love for them to be able to say, ‘My aunt is Elsa.’ That would be great!”
A live-action version of Frozen is a perennial subject of discussion among the franchise’s fans, but Disney has never confirmed plans to adapt the animation. Disney is currently focused on movies three and four in the animated series, with the former slated for release in 2027.

Jennifer Lee showcased artwork from Frozen III at D23 last month. “It captures the scene of Anna and Elsa…everyone at Disney animation is excited to be back at in this world,” she said.
Elsa is voiced by Idina Menzel in the animated movies.
