Manchester United vs Leicester City to kick off 2018/2019 Premier League season
Manchester United will raise the curtain on the new 2018-19 Premier League season, when they host Leicester City on Friday, August 10.
The game was confirmed to kick off 24 hours ahead of initial schedule, when UK television broadcast rights holders Sky Sports and BT Sport, revealed their selections for the first two months of the campaign.
It is the second season in a row that Leicester have been chosen for the opening game, after losing a 4-3 thriller to Arsenal last season.
Reigning champions Manchester City have seen their game at Arsenal moved 24 hours to Sunday, August 12.
Also on the Sunday, Liverpool will host West Ham.
Wolverhampton Wanderers play Everton in the early evening kick-off on the Saturday, while Cardiff have had their match with Newcastle the following Saturday moved to lunchtime, so it can be televised.
