Lenovo’s latest Legion Y700 gaming tablet may soon witness a global launch
Recently, Lenovo unveiled the much-awaited 2024 update for its well-liked Legion Y700 gaming tablet. Shortly after its predecessor’s worldwide release under a different name, new information seems to suggest that the most current Legion gaming tablet will do the same.
This is considering the fact that the tablet has recently made its appearance in IMDA’s database, bearing the same ‘TBF321U’ model number seen in its China debut. This most likely indicates that the tablet will probably be unveiled outside of China sooner rather than later, likely with a rebrand as we witnessed last year.
With an 8.8-inch QHD IPS display boasting a 165 Hz refresh rate, the Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet positions itself as a solid contender in the performance tablet space. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which, although plenty powerful, may soon be outdated considering that its successor, the 8 Gen 4, is just around the corner and is expected to boast some serious performance gains.
The Lenovo Legion Y700 costs CNY 3,999 in China, which is the equivalent of just under $580. If the gaming tablet indeed makes a global debut, its price will likely see an increase, if history is to be taken as a guide.
