Lagos: Ikoyi Prison attacked, on fire [Video]

The Correctional Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos State is currently on fire.

Though it is not clear what may have caused the fire, angry youths in the state have been setting popular places ablaze since Wednesday morning.

There was also report of sporadic gunfire as the hoodlums are pushing to attack the prisons.

Crisis in Lagos State escalated on Tuesday night when men of the Nigerian military allegedly opened fire on peaceful End SARS protesters, killing some and leaving many others with various degrees of injuries.

Meanwhile, another source revealed that the inmates have been overpowered by the prison warders.
