Kano court stops Aminu Ado Bayero from renovating mini palace
On Thursday, the Kano State High Court, which is chaired by Chief Judge Justice Dije Aboki, upheld his previous interim order from September 13 that prohibited Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, from restructuring, remodeling, or renovating the Nassarawa mini-place until the motion on notice was heard and decided.
In order to prevent the defendant from renovating the mini, the Kano State Government and two other applicants petitioned the court.
When the case resumed on Thursday for hearing of the originating motion, the counsel for the applicants told the court that the defendant had neither filed any processes nor represented.
Consequently, Justice Aboki reassigned the case to Kano State High Court 15, presided by Justice Sanusi Ado Maaji, now that judges have resumed their annual vacation.
She ordered that a hearing notice be served on the defendant.
