Gavi will renew Barcelona contract until 2026

After Joan Laporta confirmed during the Assembly that Gavi’s renewal was on track, ‘Sport’ confirmed that the player will sign a new four year deal. The Sevillian will be a part of the ‘Los Azulgranas’ squad until 2026.

Joan Laporta lead the Assembly of Barcelona on Thursday, during which he clarified a subject that all Barca fans will be looking out for. This being, Gavi’s renewal: “Gavi’s new contract is being finalised. We’re on the way of renewing Gavi and we are in the final stage”.

Hours later, the daily paper, ‘Sport’, headlined Friday’s edition stating that the young centremidfielder will sign a new four year deal, seeing him at the club until 2026. In this way, he will join teammates Ronald Araujo and Pedri Gonzalez in renewing for the Catalans.

The Sevillian has exploded onto the scene at the Camp Nou and he has not only enamored the Barca fans, but also all Spaniards. Luis Enrique has already given him the chance to play in the national team and he now has a place in Spain’s midfield.
