Garmin smartwatch gets new stable update after three-month wait
The Bounce wristwatch, designed for children, now has software version 9.02 available from Garmin. The wearable is made to enable parents to communicate with their kids via text or voice messages. Furthermore, parents may use a compatible smartphone to track their child’s position in real time.
First off, according to the software version 9.02 change log, Garmin has fixed an issue wherein location data were delivered more than once. The second item makes reference to “various bug fixes and stability improvements,” but it doesn’t elaborate on how or where users can see these advantages. Following the release of version 8.20 in late May, comes the most recent stable update. The previous version lessened the effects of spotty LTE service and improved voice message recording.
However, customers continue to use the Garmin forum to flag issues relating to messages failing to be sent or being delayed, with no official resolution provided by the company. According to a post on the company’s forum, this relatively minor stable update has rolled out to all eligible wearables. Should you wish, you can now download update version 9.02 for the Bounce kids smartwatch through the Garmin Jr. App.
