Garmin releases new update for all Forerunner smartwatches with fresh bug patch
Shortly after releasing a rare beta update for the older Forerunner 245, 745, and 945 smartwatches, Garmin has published another update for its most current batches of Forerunners. This time, a gradual deployment of updated software is underway for the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955, and Forerunner 965.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any new features in Software Version 20.32. On the other hand, an equal upgrade for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, and Fenix 8 (which retails for $1,099.99 on Amazon) includes fifty bug fixes, enhancements, and new features. Garmin claims that Software Version 20.32 for the Forerunner 55 and Forerunner 65 smartwatches only fixes one problem and has no further enhancements or new functionality.
Specifically, the new update is said to resolve another graphics issue when using Varia Radar. As it stands, Garmin reports that System Software 20.32 should have reached roughly 20% of eligible smartwatches. If your model remains on older software for whatever reason, you can manually trigger the download of System Software 20.32 by heading to Menu, System, Software Update and then selecting ‘Check for Updates’.
