Former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane’s net worth revealed
The immediate past manager of Real Madrid FC, Zinedine Zidane’s net worth has been revealed.
According to Celebrity Net Worth Magazine, Zidane is estimated to be worth £52 million ($70m).
This was earned through football contracts and endorsement deals.
When Zidane signed for Real in 2001, he was on a four-year contract that saw him get £3.5 million a season after tax, with a buy-out clause of £109 million.
When he took over as Real Madrid manager, Zidane earned £2.3 million, which breaks down to £44,000 per week.
However, after he revived the team’s season and won the Champions League, Zidane saw his wages double to £4.8 million at the end of the 2015/2016 season.
In September 2017, Zidane reportedly signed a new contract worth £7 million-a-year.
Zidane has earned an income from a range of endorsement deals such as the one he had with Adidas, which saw him open a new flagship store in Paris in 2017.
Zidane also featured in telecom giant Orange’s Euro 2016 advertising campaign, in which he searched for the world’s biggest football fans.
