European stock markets falls at open
After a solid start to the week, Europe’s main stock indexes dipped at the open on Tuesday as investors monitored global economic data.
Following mixed British jobs data, London’s FTSE 100 index fell 0.7% to 8,211.99 points.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index dipped 0.1 per cent to 7,421.59 points and Frankfurt’s DAX shed 0.1 per cent to 18,426.76 as traders looked ahead to US inflation numbers and a European Central Bank meeting later this week.
