EPL: Arsene Wenger’s resignation: What Saraki said
President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, has reacted to the resignation of Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, from the club.
Recall that Wenger announced, in a statement on Friday morning, that he would be leaving the Emirates club at the end of the current season after 22 years with the club, ending a long tenure that got him three Premier League titles.
Reacting, Saraki on Twitter wrote, ”With all that is going on, this is one piece of good news. Finally, @Arsenal is doing the right thing.
”While looking forward to the future, we must all remember that Arsene Wenger built a strong foundation for the future.
”This will be the end of an era. #MerciArsene.”
