Champions League: Messi ‘jelous’ after Real Madrid knocked out Juventus 4-3 on aggregate
Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, is reportedly jealous over Real Madrid’s ability to overcome Juventus in the Champions League quarter final second leg at the Bernabeu yesterday.
Cristiano Ronaldo saved the day to keep Real Madrid hopes for Champions League glory alive.
The 33-year-old scored a late penalty after Mehdi Benatia fouled Lucas Vazquez in the box.
Messi and his Barcelona teammates slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Roma on Tuesday, crashing out of the competition.
Spanish website, Don Balon quoted a source at Camp Nou as saying that Messi did not feel good about Real’s superior team spirit.
The report said that the Argentina captain was left envious at Los Blancos’ never-say-die attitude.
Analysts believe Barcelona players will be hoping for Real Madrid to fail in winning the competition having won it back to back in the last two seasons.
