Black & Blue (2019): Movie Theaters Are Banning New Film – Tyrese Gibson

R&B singer and actor Tyrese Gibson revealed to fans that he believes that his new movie, Black & Blue, has been banned from select movie theaters across the country.

The actor shared a video of the film’s director showing that for some reason, Black & Blue is not readily available in the teachers the way it was intended.

“So they have now banned our movie from certain chains and When you swipe and pay for Black And Blue it swaps for ANOTHER movie that they’re showing….???? I hate to be one of those that speak to racism so I will let YOU tell me what you think is going on..???? And FYI because of you on a Thursday night!! We were #1 in the early box office!!!!!!” he captioned the video.

The reason I’m posting this picture this is the very first moment I had met Naomie Harris!!! Here’s a true story: Our director Deon reached out to our agents and said he wanted to meet with us privately in his office. As we arrived we noticed he had all of these powerful visuals references on the wall of classics like Training Day, Sicario, HEAT to name a few! He claimed that he JUST wanted to meet and talk and NOT go over the script? Or any of our script notes! So as we sat there Naomie looked a little on edge cause Deon was asking us REAL questions like. Where are you from? What type of relationship did you have growing up with your parents? Siblings? How do u work on set? What are 3 of the worst things that can be said or done to you on set while working.? What are your pet peeves? ( I remember me and Naomie looked at each other like huh? We were there for at least 4 hours and now that I look at this picture I see this picture totally different. I see VISION inside of VISION.. Cause somewhere in Deon’s mind who clearly knew what he was doing from sparking the openness between us all in this moment! WE wouldn’t of had The chemistry that we had in this movie! We learned so much about each other to showed UP in the “familiarity” We found out later why Naomie was on edge ( she had her script IN HAND fully focused and ready to take a deep dive) guys we really never got to the script!! ( So when Deon said he JUST wanted to talk. He meant it! This vision inside the vision I speak to… Is Deon knew that those images would of remained just images on the WALL if me and Naomie didn’t bond and exchange energies in that very moment: Deon you are a GEM of a guy we are honored upon honored sir that we are able to dance in your world: Whatever the outcome of the box office WE WON! Cause we made something that really speaks to the reality of what we have to live everyday! We really did this shit for THE CULTURE!!
