Amuri-community in Jubilation On Ugwuanyi inspects road project

Coming to pass with his promise to the people of Amurri in Nkanu West Local Government Area, His Excellency, Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State on Sunday visited the long neglected community.

The Governor was in the area to inspect the road constructed by his administration (phase one).

He further ordered the contractor handling the project back to site for the construction of additional two kilometers of the road pending further improvement on the income of the state.

Gov. Ugwuanyi regretted the hardship being encountered by the people of the area because of the deplorable condition of the road, which the (people) said had never witnessed any form of construction in the past 100 years.

The Governor reassured the community of his commitment to their wellbeing, recalling that he had paid an unscheduled visit to the area early last year to personally assess the road and also find out from the people their most pressing need for government’s immediate intervention.
