Alex Unusual: I didn't leave social media because of AY pregnancy rumors

Alexandra Asogwa, popularly known as Alex Unusual, an actress, model, and social media influencer. She has stated that she departed from social media many weeks prior to the circulating rumors that she became pregnant with comedian Ayodeji Makun, often known as AY.

She stated, “I had left social media weeks before the AY pregnancy controversy went viral,” in an interview with Saturday Beats. I didn’t know there was a problem, and I had other motives. Like everyone else, I was also made aware of this. Not that I was using social media. That’s when a lot of people started attempting to find me. They saw that I had departed and hurried to my social media accounts. Subsequently, some people began disseminating false information. I wouldn’t be able to go about my life if I began to worry about it since that is how the media operates.

She added, “I had other things I needed to focus on, and I needed to take a social media break. It was such a convenient time for what happened to happen and people decided to run with whatever news that made it more interesting. I really cannot be bothered about that.

“The news was actually funny to everyone, including AY, his wife, and my family. We were surprised, because it made no sense. I was not sure how that story came to be, but I just feel like when people see that one is a good person, it feels too good to be true. So, it is very easy for them to feel like they can dent one’s image just because one is good. But, nobody is perfect; and not everyone is bad.”

Speaking on how she felt about the separation between AY and his wife, Alex said, “I don’t even know what caused their break up, and I don’t have any comment on their marriage. I am cool with both of them, and we don’t have any issues. I am sure they were just as surprised as I was that I was in the midst of all that. Again, the Internet cooks up stories for traffic, and that’s okay. They could use anybody’s name; but if my name brings them traffic, that’s all right.”
