On Sunday, one of his age-long desires will partly be achieved when he files out for a match at Old Trafford
Sprint legend Usain Bolt has reportedly faulted the tactics employed by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho during matches.
The Jamaican, despite quitting the sports that brought him countless honours, remains the 100m world record holder as well as a die-hard fan of Manchester United.
In the past months, the 31-year-old has often signaled his intention to play for the Premier League giants.
However, on Sunday, June 10 at Old Trafford, Bolts’ quest will see the light of the day somehow, when he files out for a celebrity match, Soccer Aid for Unicef between his team, Bolts’ Rest of the World XI and renowned singer, Robbie Williams’ England team.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, the highly-respected sprinter during his active days took out time, to condemn the Premier League side’s style of play that left the Red Devils empty-handed last campaign after missing both domestic and continental silverware.
“We started off well but then we got boring after a while,” the eight-time Olympic gold medalists was quoted as saying by Goal.com
“I didn’t like that because I’m used to Manchester United being an attacking team.”
Reacting to another question, the Sprint legend admitted that Portuguese’s manager, Jose Mourinho plays more defensively with less attacking flare
Concluding, the Jamaican superstar also found time to urge highly criticized midfielder, Paul Pogba, to apply caution after a horrible season, even as pleaded with the Frenchman to remain with the Red Devils next campaign. “He better stay,” concluded Bolts who remains the world record holder in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay.
Meanwhile, ALL NAIJA ENTERTAINMENT previously had reported that with few days to the commencement of hostilities at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia, Mourinho has revealed teams that are likely to progress to the round of 16.
The Red Devils’ boss did not failed to look in the direction of Nigeria and four other African teams that will be representing the continent at Russia 2018
