iQOO 13 tipped to launch with brighter, better screen than the OnePlus 13
Like its sister brand iQOO, OnePlus is expected to rise to 13 with its flagship Android smartphones later in 2024. But according to renowned leaker Digital Chat Station, the latter may be the only ones with access to the more modern display technology.
According to the source, BOE’s most recent light-emitting technology for mobile OLED panels—which is said to increase the panels’ durability by up to 33% while lowering power consumption by 10%—will be available for iQOO.
However, the upgraded technology ought to also increase the iQOO 13’s “global” brightness by as much as 12.5% in comparison to the 12. This might result in a maximum brightness of 3,375 nits in the upgraded gadget.
The new development might also reduce the risk of burn-in by up to 50%. Meanwhile, OnePlus is believed to make do with the X2 technology from the same supplier, as seen in the pre-existing Ace 3 Pro, for its upcoming flagship.
It may also have to contend with a new iQOO flagship of IP68-rated durability to go with its ~6,000mAh battery. Then again, OnePlus’ 13 might be able to hit back by having the most RAM of the 2 devices.
In addition, there may be some doubt as to whether its iQOO counterpart will launch with the same high-end 2K resolution.
Nevertheless, the iQOO 13 is also now tipped to match its predecessor in terms of international availability by joining it on Amazon India at a similar starting price of INR ~55,000 (~$657).
