THE X-FAMILY Story by Faith Lucky (Octavia and the Master)

Episode 45.

If there was a word greater than fear, Octavia would’ve used it as she saw the door opening.

Oh goodness! Master Zack???
Zack was there??

She placed her hands on the table and was about standing up when he finally walked in and she discovered it was pointless running away because there was no escape route from there.

She had been escaping the rest of the time. But this time around, she was caught; bursted.

“Khalid” Zack called as he walked towards the dining.
He sounded cheerful.

Octavia didn’t know what to do to hide her face. Her hands were visibly shaking but she tried to hide them on her laps.

Khalid watched quietly as Zack walked closer. He was still wondering why he was there without informing him.

“Zack” he finally called when he stood in front of him – in front of the table.
They exchanged a quick handshake and Zack looked at the lady with him, wondering who Khalid could probably be having breakfast with aside Becca.

Octavia had her eyes glued to the floor, ignoring the fact that she was meant to stand up and greet him since he was a Master. She was meant to pay her respect.

But, even as she tried hiding her eyes, it didn’t stop Zack from having a proper look at her and bit by bit, the image was getting clear to him.

Khalid noticed the little show going on and figured something was wrong.

“Zack?” He called, trying to get his attention.

But Zack wasn’t looking at him as he had his eyes glued to the familiar lady in front of him.

Then slowly, he called:
“Octavia?”

And that was it; the moment Octavia knew she had lost it; lost her cover. Lost everything.

She panicked and panted heavily, her eyes still glued to the floor.

And Zack finally confirmed his suspicions. She was indeed the one – the b’tch he’s been looking for.

“You… Octavia!” He rasped and gripped her from the seat immediately, pushing her roughly and pinning her to the wall.

Khalid was gob smacked.

“You b’tch!” He yelled into her face as he gripped her neck, still making sure she was stuck to the wall.

Octavia was hyperventilating and panicked more. She was choking.

Oh! Her greatest fears were here. They had finally caught up with her.

“Zack!” Khalid called as he left his seat and went to them.

“This is the b’tch I’ve been telling you about, Khalid. The same lady that killed Mario and Lewis!” Zack replied, anger and hatred echoing in his voice.

For a moment, Khalid was stunned; frozen.

His jaws dropped as he stared at her in disbelief. What? How’s that even possible?

“Please…” Octavia winced, feeling great pains from her neck.

“Shut the f**k up!!” Zack snarled and punched her hard on the tummy.

“Ahhh!!!” She let out an agonizing cry and would’ve fallen on her knees if not for the fact that he was holding her.

“Zack..” Khalid called and tried to get him off her.

“Stay out of this Khalid…”

“I said let her go!”

There was an heavy silence.

Then slowly, Zack moved away from Octavia and she fell on her knees immediately, coughing.

“Draco? Santa?” Khalid called out, hoping either of them was outside the door.

The door opened and it was Santa that rushed in.

“Master?” He bowed.

“Take Octavia to her room and stand outside the door to be sure she doesn’t leave” he gave the order and Santa bowed and rushed to Octavia immediately.

Zack was there, his angry eyes fixed solely on her as they lifted her from the floor and started taking her out of the room.

“Khalid…”

“We need to talk about this, Zack” Khalid cut him off and walked away, going into his inner room.

Octavia wept as she was thrown into the room and sat on the floor.

Mica wasn’t in and she was thankful for that because she didn’t know how she’d be able to explain herself.

Her legs were still hurting and Zack just made in-between her neck and tummy hurt as well.

She huddled her arms and legs together and wept profusely.

Her world was shattering already. Everything she’s been trying to achieve was all going to go to waste. She’d be killed because definitely, Zack would never spare her.

She knows him. He was never going to spare her.

Oh, God!

She felt so scared; so so scared.

This was the main reason she had endured all the tortures and insisted on joining the Khalid clan.

She knows the rule. If only she had become a full member of the Khalid clan, then she was sure nothing could happen to her because a clan member can’t be hurt by someone from another clan. Well, unless it was a very crucial issue and had orders from the board of directors.

Or unless….the enemy decided to act secretly and carry out his or her revenge.

But, Octavia knew joining the Khalid clan would protect her more from facing the wrath of Zack.

If only she was a full member of the clan already, then she’d have been sure there was no way he’d be able to get her or take her away. But with the situation on ground, her life was in danger as she hadn’t even been signed into the clan by Khalid.

Oh! She was doomed.

Of course, she was doomed. How does she get out of this mess?

Khalid sat on his comfy chair in the room while Zack stood in front of him, leaning forward on the table.

He was too angry and wouldn’t even sit.

“I’ve been looking for that lady for weeks now, Khalid! For weeks!” He gritted.
Khalid was silent.

“I already explained the entire story to you. She played me, killed Mario and Lewis, then ran off to join your clan so she can have leverage against me? Is she that stupid?”

Khalid still remained silent.

He knew all about the issue Zack was having with a lady; but he had no idea that lady was the Octavia he knew.

“She needs to be punished” Zack continued, his voice filled with so much dark desires.
Only the devil knew what would happen if he gets his hand on Octavia.

“I swear, I wanna ruin that b’tch! I want her dead, Khalid! The same way she killed my hrot!”

That was Lewis.

Half of Khalid’s thoughts was filled with Octavia, wondering how she could do a thing like that. He never thought she could even hurt a fly. But with the things he heard…he just couldn’t believe it.

He sighed and fred his finger from his jaw.

“I never knew she could do something like this, Zack” he rubbed his palm on his forehead as he spoke in a low tone.

“And that’s the point! She’s a wolf in sheep clothing! She’s dangerous and needs to be taken care of” he answered angrily.
Damn it! He just couldn’t control his temper.

Well, one thing was for sure – he was definitely going to get her
First, he knew Khalid was never going to deny him of such revenge. And secondly, he knew Octavia was still very vulnerable since she hadn’t been signed into the Khalid clan yet. And of course, the signing could never be done in less than a week. So, it’s even impossible to do it immediately.

“I want her, Khalid!” he continued. “I want her transferred to my clan before evening. I’ll be waiting” he added and left.

Becca was sipping sullenly from her coffee when Pamela rushed in, breathing heavily

“Becca!” She squeaked as she rushed to sit beside her on the bed.

Becca was surprised but was a little too weak to show it.

Well, she’s been that way since the previous day – still embittered over the lost of her fhikd and has been indoors the whole time.

“You wouldn’t believe what I just heard!” Pamela beamed.

“Octavia seems to be here for a reason! She’s here because she’s running away from Zack!”

Becca’s eyes beamed. Okay; and that was when she could really show her surprise.

“What’re you talking about, Pamela? Wh…What do you mean she’s running away from Zack?” She asked, confused.

“It’s the truth, Becca, and I just got to know about it few minutes ago. Phin just told m about it because he was on Khalid’s doorpost with Santa when it happened. He said Zack has yelled at Octavia and had even beaten her up. He said something like…she killed Mario and Lewis”

“What?? Lewis??” Becca’s eyes nearly popped out.

“Holy f**ker! That lady is indeed a murderer” she gasped.

“I’m more surprised, Becca. I actually never thought she could kill a fly” Pamela shook her head, but Becca didn’t have the strength to glare at her.

But somehow, she was right. She never thought Octavia could consciously kill someone. What could her reasons be? What could’ve happened?

There was a brief silence as Becca tried to digest the whole thing

“So… where’s Zack now? And where’s Octavia?” She asked.

“Well, he said Octavia was taken to her room before Zack did worst to her. That’s all I know for now” Pamela answered with pleasure.

Hmm
Becca was stunned and found it really interesting. So, Octavia was there for a reason afterall? She was only in disguise. Shameless b’tch.

Well, it seems she’d be paying Khalid a visit soon.

Octavia was sitting quietly on the cold floor, her back resting on the wall.

She was yet to take her bath and clean herself up, but she wouldn’t really blame herself since she was too tired to move. She didn’t want to.

Mica was still not back and she couldn’t be any more happy than she already was. She Just wanted to be alone anyway.

Shortly, the door opened and she snapped her eyes open to have a look, hoping it wouldn’t be Mica.

Oh, no! It wasn’t even her; but someone else she also didn’t want to see.

It is was Santa.

“Get up, Octavia” he said. “The Master wants you in his room”.
