BREAKING: 5 dead as Boko Haram returns Dapchi schoolgirls
Boko Haram on Wednesday returned the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls kidnapped from the Government Girls School in Yobe.
Report reaching ALL NAIJA ENTERTAINMENT has it that the insurgents group returned the girls in nine vehicles, an episode similar to how they were taken away.
Meanwhile, we gathered that there was confusion in the area as members of the community scampered upon sighting the vehicles.
From the sketchy details, we also gathered that five of the girls may have died while in custody of the insurgents.
Different efforts tried by the press team to get the military and the government of Yobe State to speak on the news proved abortive as none was willing to divulge any information on the Dapchi girls.
A senior military officer in Maiduguri, who does not want his name mentioned said, there are so much accusations of connivance between the military and the APC administration by the Amnesty International , as such, until there are concrete evidences of their release, the military is likely not to say anything about it.”
“We are being accused collaboration on the abduction of Dapchi girls. In fact, it is believed that the government is behind this. It is a terrible allegation. I will be happy to hear that the girls and all other girls abducted are free.
Also, Abdullahi Kawi, the father of Aisha Abdullahi of JSS 2 and Mustapha Mohammed Dapchi, Vice Chairman, Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Yobe State Chapter, whose houses are located around the school were said to have received a call that one of the girls was dropped at Gumsa while the others were on their way to Dapchi.
Our sources in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital said, phone calls put through to the Principal, Hajiya Adama was not answered.
Also the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Alhaji Mala Musti told journalists that, he has no information to that regard.
A phone call was also put through to Mr. Abdullahi Bego, the Director General and Media Relations to Governor Ibrahim, but failed to connect. However, staff in his office said he was out of the country.
Recalls that the Minister of Defence, last Saturday assured Nigerians that all the Dapchi schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists would regain their freedom.
