2019: Bafarawa reveals why he give Buhari sleepless nights

A former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, on Friday declared that he was the only presidential aspirant who can give President Muhammadu Buhari a sleepless night.

Bafarawa, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, aspirant said his sterling qualities and series of positive achievements in Nigeria’s political arena have been giving Buhari and other aspirants sleepless nights.

He said this while PDP members when he visited Kano to canvass for delegates’ support, ahead of the upcoming PDP presidential primaries.

The former governor insisted of merit was to be considered, he is the best aspirant to clinch the PDP presidential ticket.

“I am the only aspirant that has been giving President Buhari and other presidential aspirants’ sleepless night because of my realistic and visible achievements. That is why our campaigns are issue-based and human-centred.”

Also speaking, the Kano State PDP factional chairman, Alhaji Mas’ud El-Jibrin Doguwa, said that though the state PDP was in disarray, his main target was to see that the party emerged victorious in 2019 general elections.

“I have said this times without number that, my interest is not just to be the party chairman, because of what use will it be when we do not have a government; my interest is to see how PDP as a political party will emerge victorious with or without me as its state party chairman,” said Doguwa.
