[STORY] ZADIRA – Another Love Journey (Episode 17)

Episode 17.

“Feli, why were you crying in the station?” Mbakwe who has taken Felicia out of the police station asked after parking beside the road to know why his former school mate and friend was crying.

“The police killed my son” she cried more when she repeated those words again, she loves the boy so much maybe that is what lead to his death. She has failed as in motherly duties.

“Sorry, dear. Where is your husband Ijele?” Felicia force out a brief smile and her face colored up immediately, those who knew both of them way back believed that they will surely end up together but reverse was the case. She sighed.

“Firstly, where have you been all these years?” She asked avoiding the issue concerning Ijele. He breathes uneasily before he could come up with what to say.

“I was sentenced to a long-term jail ’cause of drugs, Am sorry I didn’t inform or wasn’t able to attend your wedding with Ijele.” He explained calmly, looking away from Felicia’s hot gaze. He didn’t realize that Felicia is no more the saint he knew but branded devil.

“Look I don’t want to hear about Ijele, he denied Oliver his son.” she flared up, breathing heavily. When the thought of how to kill Michael cross her mind, she gave a short wicked laugh.

“You mean the dead boy?” Mbakwe start sweating at the thought of the only hope he had kept for years is no more there, Felicia look at him suspiciously wondering the noticeable fears in his eyes. She nods slowly.

“Noooo… tell me it’s a lie Felicia, it can’t be him. The pol . . ice ha..a killed m..y” he stuttered grabbing his chest, due to intake of drugs, he had a heart attack at the most deadly news he has ever heard in his life.

“We should see the principal before you head home, Michael.” Mr. Peter suggested on the drive home, he reverse into Ubie Street. The principal couldn’t stay till the competition is over ’cause he had a phone call concerning his wife health and had to rush down immediately.

“Good evening, sir.” Michael bowed while greeting the old man with short and singlet; he has heard the great exploit. He hugged the boy and thanked him so much for what he has done for the school; he has made the school name known around the world. Such victory has not been recorded in the history of the school.

“Am very proud of you son, I know you are in hurry to go back home. I won’t hold you…” the man was unable to complete his speech, his daughter walk in carrying tray containing refreshment for three of them sitting in the parlor. They all thanked her.

“You are always welcomed here; you shouldn’t worry about your WAEC registration. It’s taken care of by me” Michael knelt down thanking him for his good deeds, the man couldn’t believe his eyes that a child who has won such prestige will never do that in this 21st Century. He hugged and whisper words of encouragement and love to him. He wished he was his son

“I hate all of you!” Felicia scream and yelled inside her room flinging her things, she has just learnt that the child belongs to Mbakwe Ijele’s friend instead of Ijele. She has decided to end every of them starting with Michael and then Jackson, lastly inheriting all Mbakwe’s wealth before ending his life too. “All of you deserve death and death I will give you”, she said to herself

“Michael, Michael! Michael!” she has searched and find the charm her mom gave to her, to end Michael’s life when she gets home. She walks out of the room to find Michael and blow the ash on his face.

“Please, please, sir. Drop me here.” The quiet Michael who have been awkwardly quiet during the drive from the Principal’s house, begged hastily.

“Why?” Mr. Peter was surprised again about another strange display from Michael, he has begun to doubt if truly the person beside him is the Michael he has known since JSS1.

“I’ll explain everything to you, please just drop me here.” Michael begged breathing heavily and sweating, his anxiety has reached it’s peak. Mr. Peter pull over and Michael dropped from the car.

“Bye, sir” Michael wave at Mr. Peter who is fuming that Michael didn’t believe he can handle his aunty and uncle, Michael transform slowly to Zadira. Her ocean eyes spark with great thunder energy and her body mixed with great flame and thunder storm energy.

“Owhhh.. Zadira!”
