[STORY] TIMISIRE THE GOLDEN GIRL (Episode 33)

Episode 33.

“Oh!” Madam Favour nodded “I am sorry, that won’t be possible. She just joined us yesterday and besides she is way too matured to be adopted. When you were asking to adopt an older child, I was thinking children between five years and twelve. We don’t advice people to adopt teenagers, instead we advice them to be their sponsors like the way Mrs Sandy pays for Henry’s School fees.”

” Harry, we don’t need an older child, what we want is a baby” Sandy said after recovering from the shock of Harry asking for Timisire…

” Why do we want to adopt a child? Is it not to give Love to a child while we wait for ours? That girl obviously needs a lot of love” Harry said

” Love! Oh I see…You want me to bring in a second wife for you right?” Sandy said “Madam Favour, please don’t mind my husband, please when you have a baby, please be kind enough to call me”

” If it is not that girl, it is nothing” Harry said firmly.

Madam Favour could see the devil was trying to brew problem for the couple…

” Sir, in all honesty
I will not advice you to allow a stranger cause division in your home. Seeing this disagreement between you shows that if you let a third party into your home now, your marriage will hit the rocks. This is not about the girl in question. This is me saying , you both should return home and talk about what you really want.”

” What I really want?” Harry said

” Yes sir!”

” She knows what I want, I do not want to adopt a child, because I will have my child. I can join her in sponsoring children here, but bringing a baby that is not mine to my home is something I can not wrap my mind around”

” Mrs Sandy, if your husband is not in agreement, I don’t think you should be thinking of adoption. It’s either you join your faith with his, or pray that God touches his heart to agree with the adoption.”

” Thank you ma” Harry said ..

Sandy stood up angrily and left the office…

Rereloluwa was scrolling through her missed call, hoping to find Timisire’s call… She had done that almost a hundred times over night.

” Timisire, my child …where are you?” Rereloluwa could not stop her tears… Timisire had become a child cum younger sister to her.

As she scrolled down, she saw Sandy’s missed call. She decided to return the call…

” Hello Rere…I am sad right now!” Sandy blurted out in tears…

Rere forgot about her problems. Her first thought was Sandy probably saw her period again…

” Is it the bloody show?” Rere asked

” No, last night Harry agreed we should go to the LIGHTHOUSE I spoke to you about, concerning adopting babies…”

” Ok? ”

” That was why I was calling for us to go together. When Harry and I got there today, guess what! Harry wanted to adopt a grown up girl..a girl who obviously has issues. Rere, What I want is a clean slate, I want a child I will train myself, not some girl who was affirming her bad girl status to us….”

“Wow! Sorry about that. You should tell him your preference.”

“Sandy, your child is coming soon whether biological or adopted” Rereloluwa encouraged.

” Thanks…talk to you later”.

Rereloluwa ended her call. She laid back on her bed. Tears pouring down her face. Ifeoluwa was in the living room. She had told him to leave the room for her. She could not deal with looking at him.

“Missing person” the thought dropped in her heart.

” Maybe I should post her picture on social media. People may have news about her.” Rereloluwa thought.

She swung to action. She created a post with a picture of Timisire…

” I Can’t Find my darling, Timisire by name. Please any information about her, Please Call….” Rereloluwa typed including her phone number.

Harry drove quietly, but Sandy was mad! She Kept talking about how insensitive he was. A notification however saved Harry.

She saw a notification that Rereloluwa updated her status. She tapped on the notification.

Sandy’s heart skipped a beat when she saw the face of the girl from the Lighthouse staring back at her.

” Is this not the same girl ?” She turned her phone to Harry.

” You went to search for her online?” Harry asked very bewildered

” No, Rere my friend posted her as a missing person. She must have run away from home”

” Then you should tell her where is she” Harry said

Sandy quickly dialed Rereloluwa…

” Hello Rere”

” Yes dear”

” Who is the missing girl?”

“My girl”

” Your girl?” Sandy asked

” Yes, the one I told you lives with me, the one who was healed at the crusade ground…”

” My Good God!” Sandy exclaimed.
