THE X-FAMILY Story by Faith Lucky (Octavia and the Master)

Episode 26.

She leaned forward and pecked her lips.

It happened in less than a second as she had quickly withdrawn back, placing her hands on her chest.

She didn’t want to look at Khalid, so she took her gaze elsewhere. But she did it! She kissed him!

Huh? She felt her heart playing rhythmetical beats.

“Octavia” Khalid’s cold voice called, and they sent shivers down her spine.
“What was that for?”

She bit her lower lip as she stared down at the floor. Was it really a bad idea? But she couldn’t help it, she had always wanted to know what it’d feel like kissing him, having to feel his soft lips on her.

“I’m sorry…Master” she muttered. “it won’t happen again’.

Something in her guts told her he might get mad at her, but she waved it aside, assuring herself with the promise he made that he was never going to get mad at her.

For a few seconds, there was silence and Octavia was beginning to feel scared. She was about turning to look at him when she heard him jumping down the pavement.

“Come on, let’s go” he said without looking at her and started walking ahead.

Octavia also jumped down with her leather of fruits and meat and followed him behind. Huh? Was he angry?

She purposely walked behind him because she didn’t want to face him or have him look into her face. Was he mad at her? But…it was just a kiss, right?

Oh! If she had known, she’d have kept her lips to herself.

They got to the car and without saying a word to each and in a short time, they were already on their way home. To the clan.

Octavia was hungry but couldn’t think of eating any of the things in the bag as she sat next to Khalid. She didn’t mean to get him upset. She actually had no idea he was gonna get upset.
Oh goodness!

So many times, she was tempted to talk to him, ask him what was wrong or tell him she was sorry for what she did, but her llttle courage wouldn’t let her do so.

They drove into the clan and Khalid’s boys were already waiting at the parking lot. As soon as he parked the car, they came forward, awaiting his orders just in case he’d have any.

Khalid came out of the car with Octavia, threw the keys at one of the boys and tried walking away.

“Master…” Octavia called and he stopped to look at her.
All the boys did.

But she suddenly became dumb and didn’t know what to say.

When Khalid noticed she was out of words, he just turned around and left.

Why did the kiss upset him so much?

Octavia knocked blearily on the door until Mica opened up.

“Oops! And the pregnant girl is back” Mica chuckled as she brushed past her and walked into the room.
Huh? There was something wrong with her

“Octavia? How did it go? Why’re you looking like he dumped you to get everything yourself?” Mica asked but Octavia didn’t say a word as she sat dolefully on the bed, resting her jaw in her hand.

“Octavia?”

“I think Khalid is mad at me” sbe finally voiced out, her tone so flat.

“Why! What happened?”.

“I…I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I kissed him” Mica’s eyes widened in shock.

“You what??’ she shrieked.
“The hell, Octavia. Why would you kiss him?!? Are you kidding me??”

There was silence.

“First of all, you shouldn’t kis someone like Khalid’. Secondly, I heard Khalid hates kisses” Mica enthused

“But why? Why does it here it?”

“well, I don’t know. But I guess he has his reasons. Either ways Octavia, you should never have kissed him

“Anyway, what did you get from your little trip?” Mica asked as she pulled her bag closer to take a look
But Octavia was deep in thoughts

Why does Khalid hate kisses? Gosh! If only she had known, she’d have respected herself. Now, she couldn’t believe he was actually mad at her.
