THE X-FAMILY Story by Faith Lucky (Octavia and the Master)

Episode 39.

Khalid stood facing the window as Leo explained everything to him – Becca being pregnant without her knowledge, then losing the baby out of her fight with Octavia. He explained everything to him and when he was done, all Khalid gave was silence as he just focused on the window, staring through it.

Whatever he was thinking, he didn’t want to let it known to anyone. So, he just remained silent.

“How’s Becca now?” He finally asked, after taking a deep sigh.

“She’s awake now. But hasn’t spoken a word to anyone”. Leo replied and Khalid nodded.

Then, he dismissed him and he bowed and left.

At a point, he felt pained and bittered that she had lost her baby; her child for him.

He could imagine the pains she was passing through and wondered why it had to happen in the first place.

“Becca” Pamela called softly and placed her hand on her thighs.

“You need to eat something, please. You can’t just continue starving yourself, you know? Please”.

Becca was mute as her pale eyes only stared into space.

Her cheeks held an unhealthy palor and all she felt were pains; nothing but pains.

“Oh! That damn that Octav!” Pamela mumbled. “how could she?”

Suddenly, Becca stood up and Pamela stood up with her as well.

“Becca…”

“Take me to Khalid’s room” she said in a rough tone. “I want to see him”.

Octavia sat on the floor with her sister beside her. They had both been silent for a long while, and Octavia’s sniffles had already died down.

“What do you think would happen to me now?” She turned slightly to her sister and asked.

A few seconds passed, then Mica sighed and answered:
“I don’t know, Octavia. But I know it’s gonna get really awkward”.

Octavia lowered her gaze to the floor and didn’t say any other thing

Of course, what was she even expecting? She hurt the Master’s girlfriend and child and expects to go scott free?

“How’s your would healing up?” Mica asked after a while and made to open Octavia’s shirt.
Without hesitation, Octavia gave her her back so she could have a look.

Suddenly, she heard Mica gasp and was surprised.

“What happened to your scars?” She asked in a shocked tone nd Octavia was…well, confused.
She didn’t know what she was talking about.

“My scar?” She asked. “I don’t…”

“Yes, I thought you had scars from what Moscow did to you? Why can’t I find any on your back anymore?” Mica cut her off and Octavia arched her brows.

Hold on…
What???

She twisted her hand to her back so she could feel it as well and to her greatest surprise, she really couldn’t find a trace of it anymore! The scars were gone! But how possible???

“Oh my God” she muttered and turned to face Mica.
But the scar had been there some hours ago – before she had gone to Khalid’s room.

Hold on… Khalid

During the intercourse, she could remember him moving his hand up and down her back. Could it be possible he…

“What happened to it?” Mica asked. “Moscow said the scars would only heal gradually and might even take upto a month. So, how come it just suddenly vanished?”

Octavia was quiet for a while, trying to see if Khalid was indeed behind it.

Then, just when she was about saying something, the door went open and two boys showed up – one of them Mosocw.

There was a wicked grin on his face as he glared at Octavia.

“Get her” he growled to the boy beside him and without hesitation, the boy walked into the room and grabbed Octavia by the arm.

“Hey! Where are you taking her?” Mica snapped as she stood up as well.

“You can go ahead and ask Khalid” Moscow snorted and signalled the boy to follow him.
And with that, they all left the room together.

They walked into the hall which was almost looking like a judgement throne.

Khalid was there, Becca was right next to him, and some other members of the clan were present as well.

“You b’tch!!” Becca rasped as she ran towards Octavia and gripped her by the hair, pulling it hard.

“You b’tch! You animal! How dare you? How dare you!!”

Octavia was being held by the boys beside her and so, she couldn’t fight back even if she wanted to.

Mica was right behind, but couldn’t do anything. She had been expecting the worst.

“You killed my baby! You’re a murderer!!” Becca yelled ruefully.

Khalid, who had been watching quietly from his throne like seat, signaled the boys to restrict her.
And immediately, they rushed to Becca and forcefully pulled her away from Octavia.

“Don’t touch me!! Let me go!!” She rasped and pushed them off by the time they had taken her back to Khalid.

She was panting heavily, her eyes glaring hard at Octavia and wished there was a way she could just eat her up.

With a push of his fingers, Khalid signalled the boys to bring Octavia forward and they did.
And as she went closer, Becca’s anger only increased.
She fisted her hands beside her, trying to stop herself from going right at her again.

“What happened, Octavia?” Khalid finally asked after a long silence.

If not for how silent the room was, Octavia prolly wouldn’t have heard him because of how cold his voice was.

She couldn’t even look him in the face.

“I…” She paused and gulped hard.

“While I was still in your room, Ma’am Becca showed up and woke me up.

“She kept asking why I was in your room but… I didn’t give her a reply. I dressed up and tried leaving, but she stopped me and pulled my hair…”

“Liar!!” Becca snarled and Octavia paused, giving her the moment.

“She pulled my hair” she continued. “And seemed very mad at me. She…She warned me to stop getting on her nerves. And then I…I told her to come to you if she’s having a problem with me. And the next thing… she slapped me”.

“She insulted me!!” Becca yelled, almost losing a grip of herself.
“If you hadn’t insulted me, there’s no way I’d have hit you!”

Another silence descended. Well, Octavia didn’t want to drag words with her. So, each time she cut her off, she just allowed her speak until she was done.

“I got angry and…and used my powers on her, making her hit the floor. I had no idea she was pregnant”. She further explained.

“Of course, you didn’t, you witch! How would you ever know?!” She yelled again and rushed towards her to hit her to slap her.

The slap stung like a bee on Octavia’s cheek, but she didn’t really feel hurt. Somehow, she felt so bad for Becca. But she didn’t blame herself for what she did.

Becca was taken back to her stand by the boys but she continued glaring hard at the lady who made her lose her child.

She couldn’t wait for her punishment; to hear what Khalid would do to her. Oh! The Khalid she knows would kill for something like this.

Khalid was silent for a very long while, thinking about the whole thing. His hand was on his jaw, and finally, he adjusted and spoke out.

“Take Octavia back to the room. I’ll come up with a suitable punishment for her soon”.

Becca’s eyes dimmed.

“No!!!!!” She yelled just before the boys would take her away.
They all stopped and looked at her.

“No!!! That isn’t possible!!! Never!! Its not possible!!!” She didn’t mind if she was acting insane.

“Becca…” Khalid tried calling.

“Never, Khalid! Not even in death will I let this lady go unpunished!”

“I never said she was going unpunished. I’m definitely going to…”

“It has to be here and now!!! Pass your judgement now, Khalid!! Now!!”

Oh! She was breaking a lot of rules, but she didn’t care.

First, she went against his command, opposing him. And secondly, she interrupted and yelled at him.

If it had been any other day, Khalid would’ve had her tongue for it. But, well today was different. Today, she wasn’t acting like his girlfriend, but she was acting like a hurt mother.

“If you don’t punish her, Khalid” she whimpered. “I swear, I’ll do nasty things and take the consequences for it”.

Khalid wasn’t moved by her threats – never. But, looking into her eyes, he could clearly see the pains she felt.

His eyes bored into hers for a long time and finally, he stood up from his seat, ready to pass his judgement.
