Episode 35.

A year of not seeing and speaking to F.D changed my life and opened me up to newer friendships. In school, I was more open to having new friends. I also joined a youth church close to my new house(My haven).

Also, thankfully, I made a new friend in the environment. She was an elderly woman. She was my saviour when it came to taking care of my three boys whenever I had to be out of the house. Generally, I would say God was good to me, even in the area of my finances; I never lacked money in any way.

My landlord/helper made it a duty to support me with cash monthly. He was impressed when he heard I had gone back to school for my HND, and he swore to support me till I finished my program. I had enough money to eat, pay bills and take care of the kids…

In addition to that, F.D was sending a lot of money, and in the description, he would put “Kids upkeep”… I knew it wasn’t just for the kids’ upkeep because the money he was sending was more than some households’ yearly upkeep.

Segun was also sending me money for his son’s upkeep.

I used all this money wisely, one of the wise decisions was to enrol my sons in a very high-standard school. Gradually, I was beginning to settle into my single parenthood and I was loving every minute of it, but Bro Femi came along and disrupted my life again…

I joined the youth church with the hope of catching up on my spiritual life. Shalewa and Mrs Yemi had planted the seed years back, it grew for a while, but it died, so I wanted it to grow again.

The first time I got into the church, Bro Femi was the one ministering. His message was heart-warming. His words were comforting. The Topic was “AFTER ALL YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH” and it felt like he was talking to my soul. He spoke about struggles and how God knew our struggles with sin. He told us God was ready to overlook our pasts as long as we are ready to allow God to walk with us to the future……

I knew at that instance I had found another haven. With this realization, I threw myself headlong into the church, and this made me acceptable to everyone in the church.

They go to know I was a single mother of three as I wasn’t hiding it… I opened myself up, letting the church know I had a messy past and was hoping God would create a future for me… That got me favours.

Bro Femi was every lady’s desire, and I saw a lot of spiritual flirting going on…

“Bro F.M, I don’t know why God doesn’t give spiritual sisters like me to vibrant anointed men of God, instead God be watching some sons of the devil breaking someone’s heart….”

Meanwhile, whenever these girls were throwing themselves at Bro Femi, Bro Femi’s attention was always on Me. I kept wondering why this brother was always staring, one day I summoned the courage to go ask him…

“I hope you have a lot of money Bro Femi because I will be taking you to court soon for constantly staring at me”

He was shocked…
