Ondo Guber Election: Gov Abiodun Congratulates Akeredolu

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has congratulated Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State for winning the Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

Gov Abiodun said the election was a hard-won victory, not only for Gov Akeredolu and the people of Ondo but for all progressive-minded people.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Monday, Abiodun said the victory was a testimony of Akeredolu’s popularity among Ondo people, adding that the Governor’s performance in his first term in office has contributed in no small measure to the same.

“I congratulate my brother,” Abiodun said as he commended Akeredolu’s doggedness, tenacity and perseverance, which he said remain the hallmark of a good leader.

While expressing happiness over the peaceful conduct of the election, the Ogun Governor said it was an indication that the nation was progressing steadily in her democratic journey.
