Carragher claims Messi only can score Salah’s goal against Tottenham

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has lauded winger, Mohamed Salah for his brilliant performance against Tottenham.

Carragher said that only Barcelona star, Lionel Messi is capable of producing what the Egyptian international did against Spurs.

Salah looked to have won the Reds the game at Anfield on Sunday with a brilliant run and powerful finish to put his club 2-1 up in the 91st minute.

Spurs, however, were awarded a controversial penalty just moment later, from which Harry Kane secured a 2-2 draw.

Carragher claims that his former side’s loss of 2points should not take away from the quality of Salah’s goal.

“The only (other) man who can score that goal is Messi,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

“If you think of Messi scoring goals, that’s what he does in the tight areas and dinks it over the goalkeeper.”
