Vivo Y300 Pro packs 6,500 mAh battery in a slim 7.69mm body
The Vivo Y300 Pro, which has a large battery and is one of the slimmest mid-range Android phones, was recently fully introduced. With a 6,500 mAh battery, the smartphone measures precisely 7.69 mm thick.
Vivo’s new product is slimmer than the RedMagic 9S Pro (12/256 GB, now $749 on Amazon), which has the same storage. Its 5,000 mAh battery is a significant upgrade over the Y200 Pro’s, and it supports 80W rapid charging. Still, there are other notable features of the new Y300 Pro besides the battery. The new mid-range phone has an elegant appearance, as the head of the firm recently demonstrated.
More specifically, it sports a back design similar to the flagship Vivo X100 series. Of course, the camera setup isn’t as capable as those flagships. The back has a dual-camera configuration, with the primary one being a 50 MP unit with f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.95-inch sensor size.
As for the secondary camera, it’s a 2 MP depth sensor. The front of the Vivo Y300 Pro has a 32 MP selfie shooter, another solid upgrade from the predecessor. Under the hood, the new mid-range Android phone has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
On the note of the front, the Y300 Pro features a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth. This display is also rated for up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. Other notable aspects of the phone include an IP65 rating, Android 14 out-of-the-box, and reverse wired charging support.
Pricing-wise, the base model of the Vivo Y300 Pro with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage costs CNY 1,799 (about $250). The maxed-out variant, on the other hand, costs CNY 2,499 (around $350). No details about global availability and price have been shared yet, but the Y200 Pro did launch in markets outside China.
