Tunde Kelani and others bid ‘Biyi Bandele’ farewell
A filmmaker, Biyi Bandele, who died on August 7, 2022, was laid to rest in Lagos on Friday, September 23, 2022.
The ceremony was low-key and was attended by the late filmmaker’s family and close associates.
Posting pictures from the solemn ceremony on social media, veteran cinematographer, Tunde Kelani, wrote, “Biyi Bandele goes home. The writer, poet, screenwriter, director and photographer was buried today in Lagos after a brief ceremony. May his soul rest in peace.”
Bandele was the director of ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’, ‘Fifty’, ‘Blood Sisters’ and ‘Elesin Oba, The King’s Horseman’.
