Transfer: Liverpool sign Brazil star, Marcelo Pitaluga
Liverpool have completed the signing of Brazil star, Marcelo Pitaluga.
Marcelo, 17, joined Liverpool on a permanent transfer from Brazil side, Fluminense.
Liverpool announced this in a statement via its official website on Thursday evening.
“Liverpool FC can confirm the permanent signing of goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga from Fluminense,” the statement read.
“The 17-year-old joins the Reds having been part of the Brazil squad that won the FIFA U17 World Cup on home soil last November.
“He was then named on the bench for two Fluminense fixtures in Serie A last season, and he worked with Alisson Becker’s brother, Muriel, at the Brazilian side.”
