SUSAN’S REVENGE Story by Ayo Omolayo _ AllNaijaEntertainment

Episode 17.

“So I want to advice us all to stand firm in the Lord. Let us light our lamps and set those around us on fire”, I typed and sent on the WhatsApp group.

I created a WhatsApp group for all my Queens high school converts. We met online to study God’s word and strengthen one another, just like we are doing right now.

“Like I said, let’s set those around us on fire. There are people around you. Truth be told, not all the staffs in Queens accepted Jesus at the same time in my house. But we all have work to do.

If you go after the one next to you and I go after the one next to me? In no time, we’ll have an army of believers.
So I want you all to get to work. Tara, go after the person next to you. Sophia, preach to your bestie and don’t relent”.
“Yes ma!” Sophia sent her reply.
Another sent a sticker of the word,”Yes”.
“The Lord will help us”, came Tara’s response.
“Okay then! Is there any of us facing a particular challenge?” I asked.
“I am!” Sophia replied.
“What is that?” I asked.
“Please share it with us?” Another lady typed.

“I’ve been struggling financially. You know very well Mr George has stopped paying us for our refusal to meet his demands. I have a bulk of debts to settle. I’m the only child of my parents and it had been my habit to send money to them at the end of each month.
For the past two months, I’ve been unable to do so. They have been asking me why I stopped looking after them. Just as Susan adviced me, I can’t tell them the reason.
They are not believers. They will tell me to go on and give my body to my boss. So I gave them stories to keep them busy. Please, I need God’s help so much. I will never compromise my stand, but I need his intervention. I need him to supply my needs. Please, include me in your prayers.
I was touched by her lack, but I knew God was at work. Sometimes, we end up destroying his good work.
I remembered what Mr Wilson had told me a few days ago.
He called me into his office for a brief word and told me some things that made me gasp in surprise..
“Do you remember when I told you I was praying to God to send someone to us?” He asked.
“Yes”, I replied.

“That was not all! I as also aware of all the things Mr George did to break your walls of conviction. I was there when he stopped Chioma’s salary. I knew how painful it was to her.
I wanted to support her financially, but the Lord told me not to. I was shocked. Someone was in lack and needed help, but God said, don’t.
When I asked why? He told me that I would be spoiling what he is doing.
I was wowed. What did he mean by that?

He told me he was teaching Chioma to depend on him for provision and not on her salary. He said that she had made an idol out of her salary as her one and only source instead of him. So he wanted to turn her attention to him and not her salary.
He was only breaking her into a worthy vessel, but she didn’t understand.
Your case was not any different. He also told me to back out. I know you were wondering why I never rendered any assistance?”
“Yes sir!” I said in awe.

This God is so awesome. Look at what he was doing at my back? I was asking why all these things were happening to me, but he never gave me the answers. He was busy telling someone else about me.
“All he allowed me to do was to offer you words of encouragement. I know sometimes you were like, why is this guy not giving me money?” He said and chuckled.
I started laughing too.

“Sometimes, we are moved to give, but God’s hand is not the one stirring us. We are just moved by that morality in us. But we must not ignore the leading of the Holy Spirit in all we do. He is there to guide us. Just because something is the right thing to do doesn’t mean God wants us to do it. He has a perfect plan and we must follow all his instructions to achieve this plan”.
That was one of the biggest lesson I had ever learnt.

So as Sophia narrated all that happened to her, I was calm. I asked the inner voice if I was permitted to help her.
“SUSAN! I WILL SHOW YOU HOW YOU MUST DO IT !” Came the gentle response.
“I WANT YOU TO HIDE YOUR IDENTITY”, he added.
“How?” I asked.

“CALL ELLA AND TELL HER TO HELP YOU DELIVER IT TO HER. YOU ARE GOING TO TELL HER NOT TO REVEAL WHO SENT HER OR WHY SHE IS HELPING SOPHIA. SHE IS TO APPEAR MYSTERIOUSLY AND DELIVER IT TO HER, THEN LEAVE IMMEDIATELY”.
I was amazed. God is such a strategist.
“Let me get this straight. Ella walks up to Sophia and says. The Lord sent me to you. Take this, he asked me to give this to you. Then when Sophia collects it, she leaves. Wow!”
“YES!” I felt him smiling and smiled back.
“But why all these process? Why can’t I just walk up to her and give her the money?” I asked.

“I’M WORKING ON HER. I’M TEACHING HER TO TRUST IN ME. IF YOU APPEAR BEFORE HER WITH WHAT SHE NEEDS, SHE WOULD MAKE AN IDOL OUT OF YOU. SO SHE MUST NOT KNOW THE PERSON HELPING HER. THE NEXT TIME SHE NEEDS HELP, SHE WILL TURN TO ME FOR HELP AND NOT MAN”.

I smiled and continued typing with my phone as others consoled her. We prayed together online and brought the meeting to an end.
After the meeting, I called Ella and told her my plans. She agreed with me and we planned our manner of approach.
On a particular day, Sophia called me. She was completely excited on the phone.
“Susan! God is so good! She said laughing.
“What happened?” I asked.

“I was wondering what I was going to eat this morning when someone knocked on my door. I opened it and found a complete stranger.
I was like, who are you?
“Are you Miss Sophia?” She asked.
“Yes!” I answered, a bit frightened.

“The Lord wants you to have this”, she said and handed me an envelope.
“He said I should tell you he’s so proud of you. He said you should continue trusting in him, that he will never disappoint those that trust in him.
Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Take away your trust from people. They will definitely fail you, but God will not”.
Those were they words the mysterious lady told me. She suddenly turned and left.

“Excuse me ma! Who are you?” What is your name?” She didn’t respond. She entered her car and drove off.
When I opened the envelope, it was Five hundred thousand”
I was shocked. I gave Ella one hundred thousand naira. How did the money increase? Also, I never gave Ella those Scriptures to share with Sophia.
“Susan, I never knew God loves me this much! I will serve this God till I die!” She said admist tears of joy.
I smiled and told her all was well.

“Keep on obeying God and trust on him. He will not disappoint you”, I said.
When our conversation ended, I quickly called Ella and poured out my questions.she laughed and told me those were the instructions God gave her. She also added that God put the words in her mouth to share with Sophia.

I was happy. God was at work. That was a great beginning. Sophia’s testimony inspired more staffs to dare God and obey him. Soon we had 95% of the staffs as our converts.
We kept preaching God’s word online and meeting there to strengthen our faith. Soon more and more testimonies of mysterious provision sounded. God was moving in our midst as we all strengthened each other’s faith with our testimonies.

Soon, more of George’s immorality partners turned from him and became rebellious. They accepted Jesus and refused to allow sin in their lives.
When George could not bear it anymore, he decided to fire me.

To be continued…
