[STORY] FOR BETTER FOR WORSE (Episode 07)

Episode 07.

My pregnancy was three months old when Victor beat me for refusing to give him oral sex. I have been doing it before but my pregnancy made me hate it. Anytime I give him a blow job I will vomit through out that day. Now that I vomit because of pregnancy how will I do blow job again to complicate the irrigation. I begged him but he refused. He beat me until he saw blood. I lost the pregnancy.

My two months of happiness ended and I returned back to my shell. Life became more terrible than before. After the evacuation, I was having stomachache continuously. The pain was worse than menstrual pain. I visited a specialist and I was advised to conduct series of tests and he discovered some unusual complications in between my left tube and my womb. Only surgery could correct it. The money involved was a bit high and there was no way I could raise such money without telling Victor.

The doctor insisted he must see my husband. I summoned courage to tell him, but he was angry I went to see a doctor without his consent. I didn’t tell him because he may not let me go. He doesn’t patronize any doctor except doctor Harry, the family doctor.

A week after Victor refused to see the doctor. The surgery is urgent but my husband never show up. I went back to tell the doctor how my husband had refused to come and he admitted me immediately.

We cannot carry out this surgery until your husband or any member of your family comes to sign this document. The doctor explained. We will keep you here, manage you until he shows up. My life was cloudy because admission per night is N15000 without treatment. I deposited the N10000 with me and they began pre surgery tests.

When he got home and didn’t see me he called my number. Anita, where are you? He asked angrily. I have been admitted in Bestway Clinic, I replied. He didn’t hang up the phone but he was silent for a very long time. I expected him all through that evening but he didn’t show up. By the time he came the following morning on his way to work, he spent just ten minutes with me, dropped N5000 and left. He didn’t ask me any question as regards my health before leaving.

I want to advice my fellow women never to remain in a toxic marriage. It is better to retreat and fight the battle from a saver place.
